QOTD: I’m soooo excited for the book! I’m going to order some, and I also requested that the local library buy it, so it will be available to the community.

And a big shout out from a CKC!

My question: Have you ever thought about doing a DVD? I really enjoyed Wine for the Confused, by John Cleese, although it was at a super-beginner’s level. (What I liked about it was that the aim was to teach you how to begin to learn about wine – it didn’t try to actually teach that much about wine).

Congrats, dude. I’m buying the book.

Definitely buying the book…Peeps don’t know it yet, but this is gonna be my GO-TO quick and easy gift to bring someone a little thunder.

With my 1st post, wishing you so many congrats…nice to see the growth of yr success & following. The reviews are fun & informative, & often yr side musings relating to life in general are offered with such wisdom & heart…& Humility (a capital “H”)… that it’s really a heart warmin’, happy, make me smile,& giggle, sometimes cheer, oftentimes raise a glass kinda experience…yeah..sometimes over the top but in such a nice way… Yr always so genial, love your family without reservation, be true to yourself & everyone in your sphere, leave no-one out, bring everyone along for the ride kinda guy. With emphatic enthusiasm yr truly a triple heart, triple happy, decent-to-your-toes-from-the-core sorta guy. QOTD: ya know we will!!

QOTD: I doubt it. The wine world changes too much and there’s always new vintages and whatnot, so it’s not really a book that has a chance to stand up to the test of time. But congrats anyway and I think you should be very proud.

Question of the day: Hell yes, and I’ve already pre-ordered two copies!

Although Gary is doing a great job changing the wine world, the change is not in the way the wine is made or served, rather it is through the approachability and perception of it. The Wine world hasn’t changed much in thousands of years, as its made in the same way and being consumed for most of the same reasons. If GV picked some good ones for this book, some wines that can withstand the time, the book will be a fun read until the pages turn yellow and the last bottle is pulled from our cellar. Even after that it will be an interesting reference, comparatively speaking, as we are drinking our cabernets, merlots, and cab francs, made the same way, out of our same wine glasses, 50 years from now. Do I see quarterly eReviews in the future??
