In at the top …Oh yes my friends!

Shame about the Ridge, Lytton Springs has always been a personal favorite.

I’d like to see you do some wines that were actually READY TO BE DRUNK!

Gary wha’ we gonna do with you?

QOTD: Top buyers gets to guest host with you plus a particular bottle of wine and an autographed book. Maybe set a minimum amount of books bought to qualify. Or some sort of MLM referral program.

Sorry, my wife has all the wrestlers packed away back in New Orleans, otherwise I’d happily donate.

    I’ll skip the main QOTD.

What I’d like to see: About once every two weeks, I’d like you to compare three wines blind (not double blind): compare three different bottles of the same varietals, with v. different price points (say $10, $16, $30) or very different locations(say a Loire cab franc, and one west coast and one east coast)

QOTD: Guerilla marketing is always a good thing, but that would be something for the books street team. You need something where you reach a large # of people that might not watch WLTV. Maybe if people did a company wide email with a link for your book, you’d be attracting a market that might not otherwise be infiltrated. Might work…

As for the WLTV, I’d like to see a “mailing list” show, maybe with wines like Sea Smoke, Bond, William Selyem, etc. If possible that would be cool!

    Great show, thanks GV!

I would like to see you test drive wines from America’s Midwest unless there’s really nothing out there worth the effort. Also I couldn’t find anything in the archives concerning Tempranillo. That could be cool too.

Sorry, first QOTD is not my ballpark. Second question- I know it would be a pricy episode but a Tokay tasting of each of the 3,4,5,6 puttonyos and even the essencia’s would be really cool…or I’m always down with more growers champagne episodes. No,no Gary..Thank you.

  • QOTD#1: Have Wine Library marketing put together a PDF book promotion that we can access and print out ourselves. Once we have printed, simply take it next time we stop in to our local retailer (wine shop). Many know there wine merchant (I know I do, and they know my credit card number by heart), and if we have been loyal to them they should have a few minutes to listen to a customer and consider finding room on there counter to display the book. It could turn profitable for them as well by purchasing some of the wines that grace the pages in the book.

  • Good episode! I really want to try that Neyers! I’m going to think for a bit and see if I can come up with a good way to promote the book.

Thank YOU, for your show and for giving us the opportunity to change the wine world! haha.

QOTD: put a “golden” book mark in some books… willy wonka style. Winners get 12 of the bottles of wine you mentioned in the book.
