I just got a 100% tempranillo wine that was low in price and rated high so I am curious how it will taste.
QOTD: My go to cereals are cinnamon toast crunch and peanut butter crunch, keeping it healthy of course.

Nice! I love the tempranillo, and can’t wait to try another fantastic value from SA!

Good show. Thanks for the good QPR selection.

QOTD: Kashi is my preferred brand. Favorites are Oat Flakes & Wild Blueberry Clusters, Autumn Wheat, Honey Almond Flax and Honey Puffs. I also like plain ‘ole oatmeal with dried fruit.

Ahhh Smarties…. remember Fun Dip? When I was 12, one of my friends snorted it…and has never snorted anything else since (which is quite good, considering other habits of his…)

Side QOTD: I’ve never done that, but my Dad likes to infuse his homemade lemonade with mint leaves…

    Yankees hat??? NOOOOOOO!

I really like the “different places, same grape” kind of thing. Very cool.

Also, today’s GV.com post was great! Seriously, thank you for caring, Gary! All us little guys out there appreciate it.

2 for 3 today – nice. Still want to draft Gary Vaynerchuk for MLB Fantasy.

QOTD: I’m not eating cereal (I’m on the South Beach Diet, so I eat omelettes; doing pretty well with the diet & exercise- I’ve lost +50 lbs. since August 15th), but if I were, I would be eating Honey Nut Cheerios. Good for the heart, lowers cholesterol, and tastes great too!

Great show, Gary. Tempranillo is, indeed, fantastic.

What about coming to the Baltimore/DC area in early June?

QOTD – All-Bran Strawberry Medley. It’s ridiculously good and the new commercials with McEnroe are fantastic.

Mr. V…Honey Bunches of Oates. A little cinnamon with grainy goodness. That’s what I’m talking about.

My favorite cereal is Cheerios, hands down, old school!

I have to say Props to the Vayner Nation because today on the Street Team conference call there were 60 something people all on the line at the same time, super excited to talk to Gary, and everyone was nice and polite and patient, much more than I can say about most coference calls at work! This community RULES!

Yea man, sorry, been watching, yet lurking a bit. Currently eating Lucky Charms and Cinnamon Toast Crunch ONLY because they were on sale for $2.50 a box down from like 5-plus bucks. This is a once in a blue moon type thing. I grew up in a household where it was oatmeal or cheerios everyday. But you always had that friend who’s parents didn’t give a damn. You’d stay overnight and you’d be lovin’ it because you’d be watching Double Dare or Heathcliff on Nickelodeon while eating a bowl of Cookie Crisp followed by a bowl of Count Chocula or Dr. Frankenberry with the possibility of Oreos and milk for dessert. Naw mean? Anyway, i drank the shit outta Tempranillos when me and some Aussie friends roadtripped it thru Spain summer of ’06. Get nostalgic when I drink it. You’re doing us all good doing what you’re doing. I heard you mention the possibility of doing a beer-tasting episode. Must say, you would be quite cool if you did a Oregon microbrew episode. As you know, Portland is at the forefront of the world’s beer brewing culture. I can recommend some very obscure yet amazing local beers. We’ll talk at your book signing. Cheers! Oh yea, my B-day is Cinco de Mayo. Turning 28!

QOtD – Kashi Oat flakes ‘n blueberry clusters… yum!

Smarties: are you reffering to the m&m-like candy coated milk chocolate sugarmonsters or the tangy tarty rolls?

Also, get some good, salty, fishy japanese green tea and let a generous amount steep in water in the fridge over night. Makes some of the most amazing iced tea. Get the right kind and it’ll end up almost sweet! I’m guessing the saltiness of Japanese green tea is what makes the flavor stand out so much, Chinese green teas never seem to pull it off well.

Finally, no, I have never crushed a handful of ants and smelled them before… I fear I may be too old to try this, but… Damn it all, FOR SCIENCE!

From the ages 7 to 13 I ate 2 bowls of cereal a day, and just about everything except the sugary fake colored crap. I burnt myself out hard. I’m 27 and I haven’t touched the stuff since seventh grade 🙁

  • Gary, love your expression when the Oak Monster rears it’s ugly oaky head !!
I’ve had the La Linda at my local pizza joint and it’s totally a win for the QPR. Good call.

QOTD: Mountain Madness Mango Granola (all natural), yes I’m from Seattle so the cereal fits the stereo-type, but it’s really good, big chunks of dried mango in large chunks of granola, gonna go get a bowl right now !!
    Cheers ~ Max

Great show Gary… although every time you get mail on your Mac I get fooled and check my mail. 🙂

THANK YOU for bring out the thunder by exploring the less common grape varietals! Now if I could just find a decent wine store in my part of the woods I’d be good.
