Wow, Great episode today, Gary. I’m not on any wine mailing lists, because I get far too much e-mail as it is (nothing compared to you though) and I’m still richly developing my palate by trying as many different types of wines as I can find.
I just ordered the Black Kite as I’m sure it will be sold out within a couple of hours. and I may be on their list after I try that wine, if my palate agrees with yours about it.

Mailing lists…great idea for the show! Long show, but I like long shows!

Great topic.

There’s a theory (don’t know by who…I guess I’m plagiarizing, I think I heard this on On The Media a while back) that by the time the mass media/pop culture picks up on a trend, the trend is about to enter its decline. When the movie Startup.com came out in 2001 the .com boom was .bombing. When Flip This House aired the real estate bubble was popping.

So, I guess the question is, is WLTV mass media/pop culture? Go get on wine mailing lists before Gary replaces Rachel Ray. And, when he replaces her, sell sell sell!

QOTD: I’m on a bunch, I don’t even remember them all. Just Celia’s (Fleming Winemaker) lists: Scarecrow, Corra, Husic, Rocca, Hollywood… darn it guess I gotta join Fleming now.

Love so many of Celia’s wines, this was actually one I haven’t really even thought about. After the love Gary showed Rocca I can’t say it’s a suprise, all of her wines are just so amazing. Just got a bottle of Hewitt as a gift so glad to see the review there. I’m going to get my dad to watch this episode with me for fathers day.

I hate that I didn’t buy my 4th copy of your book just to get a wristband, but oh well. Great episode, thanks for all you do. Hey It’s my first fathers day as a father, big shout out to all the other new dad’s out there!
