Good guest and show.

QOTD: I’ve never been to France (unfortunately). Maybe someday.

QOTD.. It’s always about time and money I guess.

really digging that new produced intro piece… lots of fun on the show today, Fredrich was super cool and laid back. Gary you need to tone it down just a bit when you have guest on otherwise you tend to overpower them! Kudos for the nod to George Carlin, a very important social commentator.

    Great new intro.

Gary, the shows with guests, like Fredrich, really bring the thunder. Keep it up.

It’s nice that you showed Mott some love with the tee.

QOTD: Last year it was a trip to Italy, France is set to be the next, unfortunately with the Euro killing the USA bone it may be a while, that is unless I win the contest. I may be getting older, but I can still harvest grapes. My entry has already been sent.

Mott – Don’t forget to link up the Red Cross.

edited version?!?!?!? Paaaaah, thats for woosies!

QOTD: Unfortunately, that same question could be asked of me just about anywhere in the world. I need to get out and explore different areas.

    Great episode!
QOTD: I have been around the Ventoux quite a bit, to Rhone Villages especially when I lived in France but I didn’t get into Ventoux until I moved back to the US so I haven’t had the chance to visit yet! YET

Fredrich – I have actually been quite close to Cotes du Ventoux many times, but never actually drove through the region. There’s so much around there… My base has always been in Aix and I’ve spent most of my time in other parts of the Vaucluse (Chateauneuf, Gigondas, etc) and Luberon (or Cassis for the beach). Next time, I promise the Ventoux will be in the cards.

On the other hand, I’ve had the pleasure of drinking many, many wines from Pesquié and have thoroughly enjoyed them. Especially the day-to-day affordable Terrasses. You guys do a great job. Bravo!

  • If it took this long for a “Mott… Link It Up!” shirt, how long will it take for the “Matt… Link It Up!” that I created in Boston?

“A sniffy sniff. Not a snippy snip! That’s what we do when we’re first born!”

#1 most classic quote from WineLibraryTV in the mind of an immature 24 year old.

QOTD: Czech women are gorgeous and I didn’t leave Prague when taking classes there, except for Austria (bleh). Hopefully I can come soon!!!

Hope the midwest recovers… George Carlin is the man!

Nice show to kick off the week.

QOTD: Because I have never been to Europe, and with the dollar in its current state I don’t see going, unless I win the contest.

Sidenote, I just made my first visit to WL on Friday while on a long weekend vaca. The place was great, the help seemed knowledgable, but I have to say they are a little pushy and that rubs me the wrong way in all forms of retail. It was the first time I have had a wineguy (besides my two fav LWS owners) place wine bottles into my hand and say you have to get these and I wasn’t even in that particular part of the wine shop. Granted most of the people were great and gave nice stores about trips to Australia and D’arenberg, but that was a little much for me.

  • BargePlus

Absolutely, the best ever WLTV by far:

    A great guest with Frederic.

A contest which words fail to adequately describe.

A Mott, Link it Up t-shirt.

    Enjoyable wines.

    And of course, Gary.

This will be hard to top!!!

let me just say that the French actually drink their wines younger than the english or americans.. especially the younger ones.

  • jason carey

I meant the more expensive ones.

I agree – one of the best WLTV ever. I once tried a wine from the Ventoux and didn’t like it – that’s how I know the wines are no good. Your passion, however, and that of your guest, have inspired me to give The Ventoux one more chance. Why do French areas have “The” in front of it . .I mean – WLTV is not filmed in “The Jersey” . . .

QOTD – I was all set to go but then I tasted that bad wine (forget which one).

WTH, dude! How come you had to keep interrupting that poor guest? NEW RULE: No more cocaine for GaryV before an episode with a guest. Let the man finish a sentence, fercryinoutloud, quit trying to put words into his mouth and finish his sentences. Man alive…. At least he was a great sport, putting up with your interruptions calmly, cooly, suavely.

QOTD: Alimony, plus 2 kids in college. THAT’S why [not].
