Great show, i’m psyched to check out wine.woot…and i bought the book last night, so i’ll sampling my first wines very soon…a few friends coming over tonight to play some music, maybe i’ll grab a bottle and give it a whirl.

Bread or plain craker for sure.. But don’t cleanse, mix some food in with your tasting in order to find out what goes best with that particular wine!!

Forgot to answer the question of the day. I rarely cleanse but when I do, I use water.

I like some nice crusty artisian bread. I love olive oil with this, but that sometimes distracts.

FYI… Sound was very low on this episode… I had to lean into my laptop to hear, and frequently found myself drifting off to the window. But the content was good.

Dude….love the enthusiasm and energy- but, in all fairness, when you’re with a guest that is a touch more reserved, you may want to tone it down a bit…ie: interuptting them as they begin to form a thought…it’s your show my friend and I roll in a somewhat similar fashion to you, but there’s certainly a time where you could help them speak & focus a bit more, while you dial it down and talk a touch less. Not meant as a nasty, hateful comment by any means my friend, just an observation- hopefully you take it constructively. It used to drive my wife crazy when Katie Couric did the same thing on the Today Show! 😉

I like the show, gary you have a very good nose congratulations. but, come on! 24 minutes of talking, for so little information, thank god for the little gray circle we can move forward.

It was great to see an episode featuring Zinfandel, one of my favorite grapes. I hadn’t heard of Woot before, and after the show I went right over and ordered the Chase. Fruit-forward wines can still have complexity and depth, and if this 100% zin actually tastes syrah-like, I’m betting it has the right stuff.

QOTD: I prefer a slice of baguette, or nothing at all.

I love the woot sites, I’m glad you had Dave on the show. QOTD: I like some good hard cheese and crackers between my wines! Keep it real GV.

My family and friends are big fans of Chase Cellars which I have had the pleasure of visiting twice. Off the beaten path and well worth seeking out. Special shout out to Jeff at Chase, a fascinating guy and a great representative of the winery.

WHAT!? $45 napa zin that is over extracted & hot : GO AWAY, that is called $15 Aussie Shiraz. hmmmm, for the pallet: crackers, for the nose: coffee beans.

That woot monkey was killer. Also, I like hearing that the woot wanna be could be an awesome $10 wine.
