Just got turned on to WLTV and am LOVING it! Lotta catching up to do, and this episode was great. Gotta get my hands on some Gigondas. It’s too bad that some of these wines are hard to find. Kind of fun adventuring to find them though.

QotD: WLTV Drinking Game (tentative rules)

    1. Every time Gary “makes friends with his palate” by pinching the tip of his tongue and shaking it, have an extra sip.

    2. If the Oak Monster makes a special appearance, empty the glass you’re currently drinking and start a new glass of wine.

    3. If Gary pauses while giving a wine a whirl to glare knowingly at the camera, drink the whole glass while he raves about the wine.

    4. If Gary’s guest declines the spit bucket, have a drink.

    5. If Sacha Vaynerchuk makes a guest appearance, decant a bottle overnight.

    6. Whenever Gary passes a glass of wine for Mott to sniffy-sniff, have a drink.

    7. If Gary has Mott drink the wine he’s sampling, have three drinks.

    8. If Gary mentions “DNA,” have a drink.

    9. Whenever Gary utters the word “riDONKulous,” pour a drink for your friend.

I vote for video #1. Great idea getting away from wine for the spoof!

Drinking game: “Sipped” (It’s wine and drinking games are mostly a college thing. Therefore, sips instead of drinks – the juice is expensive. Besides, “sipped” might become the new smashed, hammered, sloshed, plowed…you know, drunk.)

    1. Sip one if Gary throws, flicks, bounces, etc. a cork at the camera and it misses. Sip three (field goal) if it hits.
    2. Sip one every time Gary tells Mott to “Link it up.”
    3. Sip four if Gary does not spit a wine out.
    4. Social (everyone sips one) if Gary mentions enjoying wine with family/friends.
    5. When Gary scores a wine higher than a person or publication he mentions, sip the difference. For example: If Parker scores 90 and Gary scores 92 – sip two. A “-plus” counts as one.
    6. Sip one every time Gary says, “Thunder.”
    7. If Mott sips, you sip.
    8. Sip one every time Gary touches the guest.
    9. Sip three every time Gary cusses.
    10. Sip three when the Oak Monster rears his ugly head.
    11. If Gary does the fruit bomb hand signal, finish your glass.
Multiplier: If Gary’s using the big-ass glass, multiply all sips by 2.

I think this is a good start. I’ll keep revising.

Still thinking about the drinking game, but in the meantime, I’m voting for video number 2, although it was a little straight he had you down best.
