Great episode! ? Watching wine reviews in a stadium is so fun!

Mmmm… easy and melons…I must admit I love melons (hi, hi) but I do like a bit of a challenge…

QOTD: I’d agree with Gary and I’d go for C…Lots of wine no matter the price…

Another Great Gary! Mary Ann of course, and more cheaper wine! But if I can go with C then I would have both

  • QOTD: I’d go with more bottles of less expensive wines. We’ve clearly seen that 10-15 BONE wines can bring serious THUNDER, and with the exception of splurging every once in a while, there seems to be no need to enjoy anything more. To expand your PAL however, it would require a bit more in the price points.

Great show to the both of you!!!

  • Fun episode! I am looking forward to seeing the Skins whip up on your Jets this weekend…

    QOTD: More less expensive wine
and I don’t really care about Mary Ann or Ginger, although they both were hot.

QOTD: Less often, more expensive wines. Never paid too much attention to either of those 2 on Gilligans Island.

  • QOTD: More wine, less $. No question. I’ve been quite impressed with some of the $10 – $15 bottles I’ve tried.

    Mary-Ann. Absolutely no question

    Awesome episode.

I like to stick to the $10-$15 bottles for everyday drinking, so if you need a more precise answer – less expensive more bottles. Only a few times a year will I go with $50-$100. I’d be more willing to pay $5 extra for local wines though, just because I’m huge on supporting the local wine market no matter where you live. I thought it was great to see Ohio’s Vidal Blanc get such a high rating.

¿And how is that even a question? Let’s pour ourselves a glass … It’s a great Summer white wine from Kansas. We’ll start with a little Mary Mair … I get a hint of perfume on the nose and see great legs. Now give it an Anne Ann … There’s tropical fruits on the attack, a very nice midpalate, and a perfect finish. I’d give it a 92+ πŸ˜‰

Now try the other one. A rose from southern California. Nice legs, but wow, overwhelming Ginger on the nose, overripe fruit on the attack, a nice midpalate though, and bitter on the finish. Plus it’s oddly too cheap and too expensive at the same time. I’d give it a 74, something to have if you’re on a deserted island, but definitely nothing to write home about.

Good Show. I like this concept of doing shows in stadiums. Go Seahawks, who are going to dismantle the Bears tomorrow with former Cleveland Browns QB Charlie Frye at the helm.

QOTD: less expensive and more bottles, since I’m in college and recently started trying wines.

Gary, I was wondering in the future if you had any plans on doing a show on vinho verde wines from Portugal, which I’m starting to see pop up everywhere recently.

  • I have had a bottle of the dog wine in my rack for a year, but only because I love dogs and contribute to dog charities whenever possible. I will not trust the opinion of a Browns fan as I am a Steelers fan since birth 32 years ago πŸ™‚ GO STEELERS.

Good show; i need a NFL spitting bucket.

The line on wine critics & reviewing dessert wines–hard to judge???? I missed the meaning here. After a few years in bottle, yeh a rating can be made; don’t think u can do them while still in barrel.
QOTD: more cheap if i could drink everyday; Ginger–i have an inffinity for red heads…
