    Thanks for the schwag pack!

QOTD: No, haven’t tried Egyptian wine, but will look into it now.

Favorite tee – it’s my favorite because it’s so comfortable, but it’s a tee that my college organization made, so not mainstream. But man is it comfortable.

    Great episode Gary!

  • Darn it! The one day I forgot to post a comment!

Anyway, Egypt wines. No. Never had one but if I can find one, would love to try it despite your rather critical review of those. One scoop punch? Ouch!

QOTD: You know, I don’t know if I have a favorite t-shirt. I rarely wear them anymore, it’s mainly collared shirts for work and now play.

Great show, keep up the great work.

    Great Show!!!

Sucks that the Egyptian wines didn’t show well today. I’m Egyptian and was really hoping for a good turn out. Unfortunately I’ve had a couple of other wines from Egypt that weren’t all that great either.

Also, the one day I decide to try to watch the show on itunes and not leave a comment is the day chosen for schwag…haha…oh well, next time hopefully.

QOTD: My favorite tshirt is a standard black tshirt that reveals the ending of the Harry Potter series. I got the shirt last summer about a week after the last movie came out and people hated me wearing it.

G…The hair is growing to a good length. Sometimes when it’s cut short, a dude can actually look younger/better. I think you’re reaching that zone.

Thanks for the schwag. I bust your balls sometimes…but, like yourself, want to keep it real.

QOTD: My Fav. T is probably a marathon shirt that really isn’t that cool or catchy, but it means twentysix.2 miles of sweat to me. No pics that I can find.

Most consider it very douche-baggy, but sheer jersey is just the most comfortable material constructed…

    Hey Gary,

It’s my birthday too! FYI, Kasha is made from buckwheat.

QOTD: My favorite T-shirt ever is the Rated Rookie shirt you wore a few months ago (http://www.thisnext.com/item/9C426D6A/49AEED84/No-Mas-Rated-Rookie-Shirt). My favorite one that I own is a $2 “I heart DR” shirt that they sell in my very Dominican neighborhood.

    Hey Gary,

Cool episode, even if they weren’t great. Other people can go out and try them and they may like them more. Each to his/her own. Now they know they are out there.
I sent you a T-shirt for KPFA radio, (where I work), but I haven’t seen you wear it yet.

Shirt, I meant shirt. In my defense, it?s 02.19 in the morning. If you could see me, you would be looking at a face gone rouge.

  • QOTD: my sixtyninedeign Tee- http://flickr.com/photos/sokalo/256770585/

Side question: I’ve never had Egyptian wine but I’ve had Thai wine. A local gourmet store sold white and red Thai wines and although I didn’t buy any bottles, I tasted them on site and my first impression was that they were not that bad, too tanic and slow for my taste but if someone gave me one as a gift I would drink the red one chilled with enchiladas no problem, and at $20.usd I thought they were a bit on the expensive side as well.

I dig all of the Russian culinary references you use: from red radishes to baked apples to kasha. It’s fascinating how wine palettes can be expanded by experiencing foreign cuisine. We immigrants have a leg up on the average Joe 😀
Much respect from one little Russian boy to another.

1st QOTD: Seems like the Egyptian wine industry’s gonna have to work real hard in the 11 short months left before I can legally try their wine.
2nd QOTD: I apologize in advance for this Threadless t-shirt photo:
