Ugggh, this awful HBO marketing campaign has even invaded WLTV. I hope you got plenty of money.

    QOTD: A-

I’m surprised that the “O” was more complex… it seems like that would be the least and an AB would be much higher in complexity. That would be one interesting tasting group….

Great epi to lead into the weekend… Thanks Gary!!

  • wow, that stuff looked horrible.

  • haha- Amazing! How’d you do it all without laughing??
I tried the ’86 Chateau Dracula Type O Negative a while ago. It had an amazing dark vegetal component with nuances of summer fruits accompanied by some finely grained tannins. Well worth a try if you can ever get your hands on a bottle.
    ; )
I don’t even know what my blood type is!

  • So Gary, I just got back from evacuating from hurricane Gustav – I’m a New Orleans resident. I packed my most near and dear/important possessions in the car – insurance paperwork, social security card, tax documents, photos, etc., and a few days’ worth of clothes. Also in the back of the car was yes, of course, all the decent wine I have at home, along with my wine refrigerator, which fit nicely into the back of the car and plugged into my car’s power supply. The wine (including the 6 or 7 bottles that I’m holding on to) didn’t get above 70 degrees despite a hot drive, and after a couple of new bottle acquisitions while staying at my family’s home in Alabama, the wine made the trip back, plus the new bottles I picked up while there.

I also housed a couple friends who didn’t have anywhere to go during the storm, and my family and I cooked up a couple great meals. I went through quite a few bottles there, some great and some not so great, and had (among many other bottles) the second Tokaji I’ve ever had, and had a great time with family, friends, food, and vino. An adventerous trip, to say the least, but one filled with friends and family and good times.

More importantly, the VERY first thing I did after getting back and unpacking my car was to catch up on WLTV. No joke, as soon as everything was back inside, I headed to the computer and checked out what you’d been drinking while I was tucked away a couple hundred miles inland. I’m glad to see you did the Egyptian wine, really cool thinking about the history of wine there… and the Indian wine… you can never expand your palate enough, indeed.

Thanks for a few great shows to welcome me back. As far as the QOTD — A negative.

  • Blood? …for real?

QOTD: O Positive. Human. And every time I taste my own I always get a hint of Twizzlers of all things…( not kidding you, it’s sweet. )

Cool show Gary… nice to see something COMPLETELY different on the Thunder Show.

It looked like you were about to gag tasting those “beverages”. At least we can figure you are not a vampire.

I need a glass of vino after that.

QOTD: Blood type is A+ which isn’t what I’d rate this episode. I got all excited at first because when I saw the bottles, I thought you were doing a Root Beer or Soda episode. You certainly deserve to have a little fun for as hard as you work.

Gary, I think you’ve gotten the vampires to join up in watching WLTV and bringing you closer to the most watch internet show though it would have made a great halloween show.
