Great show Gary. You need to send him to marketing school for his labels, but he was an entertaining guest.

QOTD: I forgot what it was.

Great show, awesome guest. You need to have more “rockstars” like that on the show. Just signed up for the mailing list too. Although, it is cruel to be tasting wines like the Ovide when we can’t even buy it through his website. Wine has been sold out. So point going forward, make sure the wine is available before telling people to try and buy!

Wow! is what I have to say. A monumental show, an epic.
I must say, probably one of the best shows as of yet, and for many reasons: First of all, your guest, Charles is an outrageously, down to earth, fun, eccentric, yet together guy. I love watching and listening to people who know what they are talking about, but at the same time, that I can relate to. The man loves wine, loves his family, but most of all, loves life and we can definitely feel that. Second, it seemed that Gary was actually listening to what Mr. Smith had to say, probably ’cause he knew where he was coming from.

Cheers to wine lovers and wine makers who are making life as exciting and entertaining as it deserves to be!

    Love!

QOTD: I’ve been to the K Vintners tasting room in Walla Walla, and met Charles Smith for that matter.

They stock some of the best Syrahs I’ve had.

This is the first guest I’ve actually enjoyed watching on WLTV. Except for Mott, of course.

    Great job Gary!

  • You should have swallowed the wine for the cheers to his father. I thought you were Russian.

Fantastic show. It renewed my faith in the industry. Both of you nasty girls.

  • I read the comments before I watched the episode, and I was really skeptical that your guest could be as cool as everyone said, but I totally agree! He was really entertaining and knowledgeable about his craft. That was an epic show, and really raised the bar for Wine library TV!

Thanks to both of you! (Oh, and Mott of course)

The wine world needs more guys like Smith. Less stuffiness opens things up so much. Totally rocking!

QotD: I’m planning on heading out to Seattle for a game next year.

Gary, Killer show! Charles projects the prue passion and vision to make great wine. There is something about a person who is open to the simplicity of “From the Vineyard to the Glass”. F the Science of making wine and big ups to the Art of making wine. Foot crushing grapes, very kool. Here is a wine maker who has real potential. Great Guest!!. A Rockin Artisan!

Definitely one of the better episodes in a while. A good guest, good energy, and good topics you got carried away on. Especially with the thing about how every little thing factors into how you perceive a wine – and it’s not just wine it’s anything. You’re smart man Gary V.

  • What an absolutely AWESOME show…hands down the BEST guest on the show to date for entertainment purposes…His hair is out of control! It kind of reminds me of Didier Dagueneau. What an awesome show…and to answer the question of the day…

QOTD: I will be taking a trip to Walla Walla as soon as my education is done…and K vintners will be a MUST stop after this show…

  • Quotation of the show: “Meaty and gamey, wait until you put it in your mouth.”

I like Charles, he tells a great story about his wine. Gary, I have to say, I was suprised when you toasted to Charles’ father and you spit the wine out. I on the other hand would have swallowed the wine in tribute.

QOTD: We fit inside the camera, because it’s not a camera at all, but instead it’s the mind of Mott, and we are just part of his imagination.
