Nice guest, good Burgundy information. I’ll be trying to visit the Faiveley operation in the future

Don’t worry. It could be worse. You could be a Seahawk fan like me.

WOOOOOOOOOOW. great show. it is so good that you are able to bring someone like this on the show ( shit, you had jeff davies too ; )
it is funny how you can tell he is ahead of the operations and not the wine maker. i am sure he keeps an eye over things but surely lets the cellar master do his job. i think it was probably a bit more informative on how a domain like faively runs rather than some real in depth knowledge of the wine. granted english as a 2nd language does not help so much.
the cake he talked about is something like what we refer to as spice cake, rich and dense with strong notes of brown spices. c’est bon.
    QOTD – kinda

Nice show, “mobil media guru”. Wish I could get into the burgs, just so much money and not a lot of patience to wait for the fruit.

QOTD: Right now, No, but not the best day.

    I love this episode!

I am happy! I get tired from working sometimes but I am doing what I love, drinking wine, and not settling for sitting in an office. I don’t have the restlessness of monotony of doing something and being where I shoudn’t be.

    Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy…..

No question about it, you have to do more Burgundy shows the Monday following a Jets loss.

Le Français et un élément fondamentale pour la compréhension de la nature du vin.

Hey Gary, I should give you some French lessons. It is my “langue maternelle”.

So…pomegranate is “pomme grenade” which is basically a grenade apple, probably ’cause it explodes and juices all over the place, as would a grenade. “Pain d’épices” is translateable to “spice bread” or “ginger bread”, which is a dessert like bread usually with ginger, allspice, cinnamon and cloves, comparable maybe to ginger snaps, but in bread form.

    QOTD: Hell yeah!
