What’s the last Merlot you’ve had and did you like it?

Sorry, Merlot is not my favorite cup of tea, regardless of the movie. I bought a bottle of the Warnkhe(sorry Brandon)before tasting it at The Manor and would not have purchased it after the tasting. Let’s just say the last Merlot I had that I liked was the Garguilo Money Road Ranch, that vintage was probably late 90’s, possibly 2000. Outstanding wine.

I’m working with some washington wines now too, Gary try to get some “Holy Cow” Merlot from Charles Smith Mattawa washington state, I wonder what you think of it, He’s making some very interesting stuff up there!

Please, Gary! I don’t want Merlot to come back! Mainly, because I can now buy a decent bottle for under $5 at any grocery store – I recently found a palateable bottle for $2.50 at a major chain store. They’re practically giving the stuff away! So, enough with this come back stuff…

Loved the show. Loved the poke in the eye, not because you got hurt but because it made the ending all the more better. It is times like these that I wish you left the camera on just a little bit longer. Oh well.

I think I like Merlot and Pinot Nior equally… you’ll find no Hollywood driven disrepect of Merlot in my house.

Well put this one in the right hand corner cuz it’s an instant classic!
This one had it all: a soap box subject (bringing sexy merlot back), three
diverse wines (a good, very good and not so good), oak monster in the house,
a GREAT inspiration for a new T-shirt (tough guy in ginny T holding a
dandelion – BTW you know your ass is from Joy-zee when you call a Tank top
T shirt a ginny T hello Jerky Boys)and of course a classic ending (thumb in
the eye with a great transition to a pirate routine that had even you
laughing). That’s why the Thunder Show is the best. Props!!!

For example, Casa Lapostolle Cuvee Alexandre Merlot here in Brazil costs US$ 47.90… Damn taxes!

The movie was criticizing California Merlots for being over the top and that is what you found here. Lots of oak and like you I am no fan of oak in excess. I have had great luck with even low end Washington Merlots so this one that is mid-priced should be a great deal.
Thanks for the sniffy-sniff wristband but when I opened the little plastic bag I expected a sweat or Big League chew aroma and none was forthcoming so you may need to put out scratch and sniffy sniff wristbands. What is a green wristband?

Thanks for the info on the servers, I was wondering what was going on. I think I have only had Pinots from the US at this point.

Have only had 1 or 2 merlots, so something I will get more into as I drink more wine. Bring back the sports packs!
