I’m playing catch-up, but WOW!!! What a great episode! I am a big fan of Jancis Robinson…I really enjoy her writing style and I can imagine hearing her voice as I read her words…great stuff!

I own 2 of her books, and she is my premier print wine writer source, and Gary is my premier internet wine info source. SO this episode was set up to be amazing and it delivered. JANCIS– it was one of the best PR decisions that you’ve made in a long time. You’ll see.

QOTD: Are you f’in kidding me Jancis? I mean c’mon! It was the most rockstupendilicious episode since Randy was on. I’ve been reading the Atlas of Wine lately and am blown away by the detailed and beautiful illustrations and the passion and knowledge that went into it. The Oxford Companion is also rockin’.

Legends are great! Keepin it real with legends is the best!!

QOTD: Yes a great idea to go on the show. I have to admit that at first I thought that the two personalities wouldn’t mix, but I was sooooo wrong. I partucularly enjoyed the way you two approached the tasting from different angles but ultimately coincided in may respects.

QOTD…It was definitely an excellent idea! I would say this was one of the best shows so far.

Gary, you received quite a bit of criticism for your show with Randall Gramm (from me included) but I have to give you all the credit you deserve on this one, it was great.

One (hopefully) final comment on this episode: I think seeing Jancis’ books is more tasteful than the frequent display of wrestling action figures. These works are well worth seeking out, they are rigourously and thoroughly researched. The photography and vineyard cartography in the Wine Atlas is impeccable. I think it would have been nice if a little air time had been devoted to them along with a few images of their contents.
