Hey Mott…it only took Gary 10 mins to dis the Giants!! I KNEW he was gonna! After the Jets hhmmm…”performance”(read lack thereof) this weekend, I knew he was going after Plax! Gotta give him props for at least pointing out they are at a “different level” then any other team though! Thanks for the episode and for at least TRYING to be fair Gary!

Favorite candy bars: Violet Crumble. Gary, trust me on this one, especially if you love honey. This is an Australian candy bar and might be a bit harder to find here in the States, but it’s definitely worth it. People seem to either love this bar or hate it.

Other favorites: Baby Ruth, Whatchamacallit, Heath, 100 Grand, Twix, and Butterfinger. Top 7, right? 🙂 Alright, if I’m on a desert island or stuck in Detroit and can only have one candy bar, I’m going Baby Ruth… easier to find than Whatchamacallit.

Today’s episode would have made an AWESOME Secret Pack! Imagine getting four red wines in the mail with a bunch of candy bars to taste along with GV! That would ROCK!

Carmenere!!!!-this grape just doesn’t excite me at all. I can go on a malbec kick, and rah-rah for south america, but carmenere? Its like smoking a red pack and drinking cheap zin.

QOTD: okay so its straight up chocolate, but packaged as a bar: Hachez 77% Dark Chocolate. Yes it is the stuff dreams are made of.

QOTD: For regular candy bars I’d go Peanut Butter Kit Kat. But give me the darkest chocolate you can find in one of the fancy expensive Euro bars and I’ll be happy.

Great show. I swear that the moment I logged into the site I was drinking Turnbull 2005 Cabernet with a Dark Chocolate Toblerone. It was delicious and a hilarious coincidence.

Gary’s gonna have a hell of a sugar buzz!

Personally, I’m not a “candy-bar” lover. I tend to stick to darker chocolates, 78% coco and up. It tends to go very well with Port and/or coffee (black). I must admit however, that I do have a soft spot for Reese’s and Toblerone. I should try pairing them with vino.
