Long time watcher, first time poster! My wife turned me on to your podcast on i-tunes, and we are a daily consumer… many good tips… 2005 Bordeaux… aged Beaujolais …sauternes… (please forgive the spelling 🙂 )

Sad to say as our first go at a “pack” we were disappointed… maybe we missed it but we don’t think so… we were surprised these were the wines Gary wanted to hang his “thunder hat” on for so many who take the leap and buy through him this time of year.
Not sure we’ll go “secret pack” again… and not a strong endorsement of the wine of the month club we were contemplating.

I did not have the secret pack but had the last two wines already from previous GV recommendations and liked them both. We watched with lunch hear in New Mexico. Saw you on today and enjoyed it.

Also, glad to see Mott on camera as much. Happy Holidays to all.

Enjoyed the Today show today as well as episode #600. Only tasted one of the wines in the Secret Pack so far–the Rhone Rebel. Thought it was good easy drinking wine. Went out to eat and to a movie today, so looking forward to tasting the other three wines in the future, especially the one from the Languedoc.

Another great Christmas tradition thanks to you. These wines were amazing, my favorite was the last wine, it was also the favorites of everybody else who joined.

Today I had my immediate family as well as my god mother and another great friend that joined us for the tasting. We decanted the 3 reds for about 90 minutes which I think was a great addition.

I am fortunate to be in Italy with my wife’s family (as usual on Christmas), so I have so far had a lot of nice food and wine. Going up to Valtellina soon to try some new exiting Valtellina wines.

Gift from my brother! Will have to watch this episode later but the 1st few chapters of the book have me pumped.
I have taken & passed several sommelier exams but I feel that many times I AM out of touch w/ the average (majority) of wine buyers. I needed this book. And I am already a big WLTV fan. A Vayniac.
A long-suffering Cowboy fan too. Not sure these past few yrs are any less painful than 5-11 w/ Quincy Carter! (haha)

I thought Mott was a little younger due to his voice. You should have given Mott a glass just like yours. I have a friend who has been to France several times and he has corrected me on the pronunciation of the Longuedoc region. He claims it is pronounced Longdock. Thought you might want to know this. Good episode but a little weak on the excitement factor. Keep it real and they will come, especially when you are talking about wines that you picked for your secret pack. Keep it up it is a good reference for me. Stam
