line of the day – it was going to be – ‘In its day this was the Cindy Lauper of Chardonnay’ but then along came ‘Mott, what if you go straight down on me’

Very good episode featuring good wines. Gary’s good mood is infectious…the more he enjoys himself, the more I enjoy myself.

  • QOTD: Marimar Torres 1992 – best ever for $24 (in 1992).

Wife is almost exclusively (trying to change that) a Chardonnay fan. But She’s coming around to new things.

    Stupendous show Gary V.

QOTD: I have never had a premium chard, only cheap $10 ones. I can’t say I have ever had a really good one. I do kinda like Black Opals attempt from California.

  • I don’t have a facebook. There, I said it.

Beaujolais Blanc is good, I’ve had budget jones white Burgundies, even a nice Italian chardonnay, as weird as that sounds, and got introduced by Shaw & Smith to the wonders of unoaked chardonnay. Frankly, all of them beat the snot of the last Kistler I had.

Don’t have a facebook account, so here’s my Monday suggestion:

Valentine’s Day is coming up. What are you cooking for Lizzy* and what wines are you serving with each dish? Would love to see you prepare the dishes and bring in the wines paired with each course.

*Even when pregnant, a little bit of wine can be a good thing.

    PREMIUM Chardonnay?
    Unfortunately……..never.
I just can’t bring myself to pay the big bucks for a white.
    Sorry.
On the other hand, I have no problem watching you and others enjoy.

QOTD: Favorite premium chard has been Kistler Noisetier. Oddly I haven’t had any French Burgundies that have rocked my world.
