  • “I agree. That’s a great analogy. I’m stealing that, and trademarking it, and if you use it again I’m suing you.”

    HILARIOUS.

  • I’ve never been to Alaska, but can’t wait to visit it’s beauty. Maybe Gov. Palin can give us a personal tour. And we’d be nowhere without cement and concrete!

Great show love the learning aspect of everything!

  • So when is Gary opening Oak Wine Barrel Library dot com?

  • VERY interesting,
I look forward to seeing drinking schedules on wines in the future,
I think that would be awesome.

    Great episode

  • I really love the idea of printing the preferred drinking schedule seasonally on specific bottles of wine, because some people would love to see that, particularly religious, wiccan, spiritual what have you, and those not interested could ignore it.

It’s also a nice attention to detail, a fun fact, and an interaction of the wine maker with the consumer that is very personal.

    I love the idea, absolutely.

Fun episode. I like blends. “Scheduled to drink by” could be helpful for some.

Never been to Alaska , yet.

Cement is good for skateboards but not for vineyards.

Great 2-parter Gary. Always great to see what goes on behind the curtain.

  • QOTD #1 – no, but planning on going in May.
QOTD #2 – It’s hard to dig on cement.

Gary – stop fidgeting with the caps.
Good episode, though I personally think biodynamics is overrated and cult like, but I’m just an amateur here. I do agreee that the sustainability play is the way to go. I recently visited and toured Sokol Blosser in the Willamette valley and have been orgainic since 2005 and their underground cellar is LEED certified. This is the way to grow.

I really enjoyed this episode. Thanks for picking their brain about biodynamic farming practices – fascinating! A winery I’d be excited to follow over the next decade or so.

  • This show just didn’t work for me, but her QOTD, to which my answer is no, I havne’t been, got me thinking.

I now have the perfect QOTD if I ever get a chance to be a guest on WLTV.

Nice wrap up. Definitely a show that could have gone on and on with all the fun facts and grower/blending info.

    Great show!

QOTD: Never been to Alaska. What kinda vines grow there? Probably very few. As for cement, not much grows there either.
