line of the day -‘This is the first bee on Winelibrary TV’

Good solid guest and good solid show but the highlight for me (as a Jets fan) is the opening 5 minutes which is all about the Sanchez trade in the draft (probably boring as hell for non-Jets/nfl fans…but that’s tough)

I’m curious to watch how Cahors does with Argentina. The Argentina Malbecs are the hottest sell in our shop right now. We can’t keep them in stock.

    76 is a complicated number…

QOTD: Nothing really, other than I’d have a slightly larger paycheck due to no 401K contribution.

Awesome episode, I loved the rapport between you two and the drama from the wasp. You’ve got me intrigued by malbec as well, and I’m planning on getting some tomorrow, I’ll tell you what I think.

QOTD: Without that “goal” of retirement, I think you’d see people going less towards jobs that fulfill with money, and instead work in jobs that are fulfilling to their lives. That being said, I don’t think that retirement is the goal that everyone believes it is. So many people seem to shrink once they’ve lost the purpose of their career, and instead of living, they just exist, which is really sad to see.

Malbecs are hit or miss with me. Sometimes they just seem too soft for my palate.
QOTD I would find a job that I am passionate about rather than finding a job that just satisfies my wallet.

  • NY Pete

    so we suck, huh? … 😛 😛 😛

QOTD – At 22 years young, I don’t plan on retiring anyway. Although I do think there is some point where you have to take it a little slower. I think my overall priorities would be taking the money I would be saving for retirement and using it for my future kids’ and grandkids’ education…and more vino so I can expand my palette. That may be a cookie-cutter answer, but it’s what I believe.

Thought the episode was honest and entertaining…everything I look for in WLTV.

QOTD: My answer is the obvious . . . and sad one . . . I would look up from my desk, take stock in the good around me, and enjoy each day for what it is, a gift.

Great episode, great guest. Love the grass fed and Malbec. Wish I could duplicate the slow fire, long cook, process at home. Oh well, another excuse to visit Argentina.

GV – as a Browns fan, I went through the same emotions as you but in reverse. First, elation. Thinking as you did the Browns got over on your Jets big time. Then, they announced what the Jets gave . . . ridiculous . . . either Mangini believes something about these players now that he didn’t while in NY or he flat out got Jedi mind tricked. Painful. Peace.

I just celebrated my 67th birthday.
After 31 years in banking, I quit, and started a painting business about 14 years ago. I’m still going strong. Love to work, but find it more important to enjoy my sons and grand-children.
    Also love the malbec wines.
Had the opportunity to visit B.A. two years ago, and instantly took to it. The people are friendly, (yes…..even to Americans), the food was quite good, and the wines, outstanding. About half of our wine consumption is Malbec and Torrontes. Give the price point, it should be everybody’s.
Nice show Gary, and cheers to Tim.

    Good guest, good information. Thanks!

QOTD: I’ve always presumed that I wouldn’t be likely to retire from nursing until I can’t walk anymore, or no-one will hire me, whichever comes first. This is partly for financial reasons and partly because it’s a big part of who I am and what I do. Besides, I’ve always worked my other passions into and around my ‘working’ life, so retire from what, really?

  • Chris

Me, at about 1:45 Saturday: “What the hell? I think that was Gary Vaynerchuk…”
Her, at about 1:46 Saturday: “Who is Gary… who?”
    “That wine… library… dude.”
    “Oh. Ok.”

    Random. Really random.

Great Show…..loved the guest and malbec. Jets did already with Sanchez, just cut him some slack. I am def in for the thunder cruise in 2010. QQTD, I am a young one so I am not even thinking retirement.

sanchez might be good, but pats won the day with a dizzying array of moves.

qotd- retirement is a 20th century “company man” fad. doesnt enter into my plan. gonna buy the book, tim seems to really have his s*@# together and I’ve been trying to figure out for some time what he seems to have already discovered.
