GV behind the camera rather than in front of it. A no no as far as I’m concerned. Pretty interesting interview though.

Nice interview, it was hard to see the bottle of wine when you moved the flip-cam to read the label. on my iphone it just kept on rotating the screen 🙂

    Gary –
I’m echoing everyone else’s comments. Great guest – quality, quality person who knows a tremendous amount of the background in Napa. He’s a great person to interview – intelligent, down to earth, appears knowledgeable. Your style for today’s interview was also very good. It seems you were more calm (laidback, if you will – maybe you are tired) and this was a big plus. Good, interesting questions, as well.

    Overall, a very good episode.

  • That was absolutely wonderful. I have to say, Gary, as an interviewer you’re much better asking and allowing answers than side-by-side chatting. Great episode, I look forward to part 2.

Great episode! I love to be educated. Moving behind the camera to let your guest be the star was inspired and brilliant. Your questions were mostly very good, although it seemed to me at times that you went to the next question before he was quite done with the last.

QOTD: I know hardly anything about F1.

What an incredibly nice, down to earth guy. It’s all about the history and passion. Incredible family that we all owe many thanks for bringing the thunder since the 40’s!

This interview is bringing out a long time lerker. Great interview and great subject. This may even surpass my other favorite interview, Jancis Robinson. Now what about Bob Parker?

Great seeing legends interviewed. How about talking to Bob Betz, one of only 2 masters of wine making wine in America (along with David Lake)?

Great interview. Really interesting to hear the history. Loved the selection of questions at the end. Too bad he’s never gotten to Montreal for a race.

What a great guy! And not just only because he likes F1! 🙂

I haven’t been a fan of their wines, but I’m interested in seeing part two!

GREAT, GREAT job with the interview, Gary! I guess it was easier since he has so much knowledge on the history. I’m glad the interruptions were minimal and made sense.

  • AMAZING GUEST Gary, great interview, great wine review. Now I just need to get my hands on some of that wine.

QOTD: Jenson Button is kicking ass right now. Well, he has the best strategist in the whole league. If you have a reliable car and a good strategist that is all you need. All of the drivers are sooo talented. I wouldn’t mind seeing Button win the championship, he deserves a title, he has had many bad seasons with crappy teams. As for the constructors championship if Ross Brawn keeps on doing what he does, he will run away with it. Keep the reliable car, get some Kers and the Brawn / Button team will be victorious.
