Great episode. I’m not sure if you meant the rose would be in the dessert or served with it. Since I’m not a creative or good dessert cook I’ll go with the pairing. I’d have it with a cheese and fruit plate. If the wine had some sweetness, like rose d’Anjou, I’d have it with some kind of fruit tart. Thanks!

Just caught up on the shows this week. All good except this one. I started to wonder, why have this really dull person on? And then it hit me, its a favor to Billy. I understand. It’s always funny to see a food critic who knows nothing about wine. You think they would take the time to do a little research for their profession. Oh, I forgot, Billy. I understand.

You know , what do you mean by room temp? Nothing should be tasted at 70 degrees. if you mean 62 degrees i agree.. but do you eat ice cream at room temprature..?

BTW Donkey and Goat and Quivira are two of the more frenchy style producers of rose .. Quivira is Biodynamic, btw…Donkey and Goat makes super duper Rose.. the 08 rocks!! I love Donkey and Goat Rose. I have already consumed 3 bottles this spring..
I do wish that there were a more mineraly and less fruity rose made here..like the Clos Roche Blanche rose (Pineau d’ Aunis). Some Cali roses are too heavy .. esp the Syrah based ones.. I like more Cinsault in my roses and less bubble gum on the nose..
