Being at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway last weekend made me realize how lucky I am to have grown up around the track and still have the opportunity to spend my weekends there in May. The Indy 500 crushes it!

QOTD: A couple of weeks ago, I would have said the Thunder Cruise CRUSHED IT, which it absolutely did. But I just returned last night from an awesome few days in San Diego, where my siblings and I, on Mothers’ Day, let my Mom’s ashes fly from the back of a nature cruise boat into the deep, blue waters of the Pacific off the coast of North Island, where Mom was stationed as a Navy Wave during WWII. San Diego was Mom’s favorite place on earth, and her days of service in the Navy her favorite time of life.

The emotional experience of carrying out Mom’s final wishes simply CRUSHED IT!!

Great show! good to see you back. The Bandol looks like it’s right up my alley. The Chard sounds interesting too. Will definetly have to give them a try.

I love it when you taste $Money$ wines that I will never be able to afford because it makes me feel good when you don’t always love them. When you get more pumped about a 10 bone Shiraz I get pumped about it as well.

QOTD: The last situation that CRUSHED IT was winning my second World Pipe Band Championship in Glasgow, Scotland! w0000t.

The book was the big announcement. The baby will be the next big announcement. The cruise crushed it for me. Wish the first two wines were about 20% cheaper. My wine buying price point has dropped in the last 6 months. Don’t worry about what people say about content. You have pumped out 675 episodes and not many shows do that.

Loved the show as always and the excitement too! Just ordered your new book and the old one. Hoping to get the famous wristband. I watch your show on my iphone daily so I did not download this podcast until today which is the 14th. I purchased the new book the same day. So please send me a wrist band. Another great episode. I wondered if your excitement was clouding your judgment until you panned the last wine. It confirmed your integrity in tasting (scoring) the wines. Definitely want to check out the Bandol.

Welcome back Gary! As much as I enjoy the on-the-road format, I much prefer you in the thunder saddle. There seems to be more of a focus on the wine…maybe not in this episode…but that’s cool. Congrats on the book!

I have a question of the day. How does Jay Miller keep his job? the guy is off on his reviews so often it is not even funny. I just look at a Miller reviewed wine like it had never been scored.

QOTD – I recall a young lady (very loose definition of “young lady”) that my partner and I caught in a very tangled web of lies. When we finally sorted all the lies and brought the fact we had nailed her big time, we “Crushed It!!!”. Not the last time but one that truly stands out.
