I love Terroir in NYC but my current favorite is a local wine (and pizza) bar in Norwalk, CT called Fat Cat.

Cork in Dallas uptown is fun! It’s a wine shop that also has a tasting center. They have their tasting bottles in those same kind of cases as Clo. They also use a store card to purchase wine, but that one you load up ahead of time. They have several tasting stations that are themed–regionals, whites, reds, collectibles, staff recs, etc. And they change it up every month or so. It’s a fun way to try some wines you might never have considered otherwise.

I saw your episode on Clo and had a appointment near Columbus circle on Wednesday. My daughter and I tried it out, it was amazing. The people there were great. They thought you were great. The wine was great. When I got back to Rochester, I told my wife, we will be going back next time we are in NYC. Thank you for the tip.

QOTD- definitely Tria in philadelphia. not only do they do wine, but they have speciality beers and cheeses as well, which makes for a great all-around experience.

Whoa! Great bar for oenophiles! Loved looking at it. Did make me feel a bit “mechanical” – especially the machines pouring your wine for you. Where’s the love? Where’s the passion?

QOTD: Fave wine bar? That would be Cru~A Wine Bar… Many locations, but MINE is in Shops at Legacy, North Plano – North Dallas area. If you go there tell Annette that KathyD says hello!

Barcelona in New Haven, CT. Delicious Spanish wine, great tapas and a chic, but inviting atmosphere. Love the table with the fireplace in the middle. It is always packed here on weekends.

I like Vintage in downtown Philly. It’s where I actually got my wine start.

I know a lot of people like Tria in Philly. There are two locations for Tria and the one on it’s either 11th or 12th street was VERY snobbish. The waitresses were very stuck up and seemed to perpetuate the stereotypes that make the average joe steer away from wine. I’ve heard good thinkgs about the Tria on twenty something street.

QOTD: Without a doubt, the Water Street Wine & Coffee Bar in Peoria, Illinois. It’s the complete package, great people, great food, nice choices in wines, and something new to try now and again! Love it!
