Loved the episode! I am am subscriber to Eric’s site…love it!! One of my favorites is a 2006 Pierre-Luc Bouchard, Muscadet Sevre et Maine Sur Lie from Loire Valley…try it Gary. It has the acid you love, citrus and herbs.

That was a really informative show re: Muscat. I think the varietal is very much underated, but it seems to be gaining momentum world wide. Here in Australia muscat or Muscato is nearly becoming the #1 selling wine in the female 18 – 35 age range. Or course the sweeter versions are literally selling themselves, but it is becoming more & more popular for the beginner wine drinker.

Just tried my first muscat the other day. Got a question for ya Gary, I bought a bottle of Moscato d’Asti, Il Conte d’Alba 1917, and it has no year on it. It’s imported from Italy and has the DOCG label on it. How can I find the year? The main reason I ask is that I have been trying to keep a record of my wine experiences in case I ever want to go back and try one again.

I think that guy was a Vayniac virgin, no matter, first time for most everything. And I think he liked it.

Nice to see some Schröck tasted – the ’08 Schröck Muscat is wonderful stuff, better than the ’07 I think. Actually, I think her ’08 portfolio very strong indeed.
