lines of the day – ‘dissecting these wines for my palate (which is why you watch the show – not for these clowns) and ‘don’t touch the Jets spit bucket EVER AGAIN’

Not my favourite format…I don’t particularly want to hear the views of Joe Public, and once again the sound didn’t work on the audience

Oh yeah, QOTD: Haven’t really had a lot of wines from down under, but I’ve liked NZ Pinot’s the best. Mount Cass was a good value play.

Thanks for the review of the supermarket wines. . . all of which I have seen but not tasted. Will take note of all the reviews. Still hard to hear the crew.

So…where did you find these guys? Kindof an oddball mishmash of people there, not one of them a vayniac I don’t think. Just sayin…if J3rome or Lala, or Kahuna or someone were there…they’d // it up amiright? (or at least bust your chops right Kahuna?)

QOTD: (Tolstoy style) I’m kinda hard on Austrailia wine…just because I’ve had so much Yellowtailesque crap. I know I had a killer Aussie Shiraz once, but I can’t for the life of me remember what it was. I guess I’d have to be all lame ass and say Kim Crawford Sav Blanc. I know it’s mass produced and kinda “high end grocery store wine” if you get my drift, but it’s pretty damn tasty…maybe not life changing, but it’s well worth drinking.

Good show…I think plenty of people have forgotten about Australia recently…

QOTD: 1998 Penfold’s Grange is the best wine I’ve ever had from Australia…and the 2005 Matua Valley Sauvignon Blanc Paretai Estate was hands down the BEST New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc that I’ve had. It was so mineral driven and well structured.

QOTD – Leeuwin chardonnay. love the complexity and backbone of the margaret river gem,it’s one of the great whites outside of france that age with beauty and take on secondary characteristics with time.

  • the best Ausy wine I have had. The privileged to have an aussy friend that came from the Barossa. She has Hill of Grace which is the best I have ever had. A killer Shiraz but expensive.

QOTD: I’ve had some good Shiraz/Viognier blends, but can’t remember the names right now.

Better than yesterday’s episode… the hottie in the red dress was much more easier on the eyes than the FEZ guy 😉

QOTD: A Penfold’s Cab in the late 90s.. can’t remember the exact year… VERY nice…

Still having trouble hearing the peeps and a little revirb going on???hmmm..none of these guys are vayniacs? If I lived closer I would be there for ya!!

QOTD: I have been on a quest to find a Sau Blanc fro NZ that didn’t taste like I was eating a grapefruit, I love the grassiness but it doesn’t outway the grapefruit. Not into the “down under” wines cheap market saturation made me go to other regions and everytime I have had one I was disapointed. I tried about 10 so i think I gave them a chance, but maybe I need to experiment more!

    How is your knee doing???
