line of the day – ‘I got zero, and I have a giant nose’

At last the sound has been sorted out…but still not a great format (for my palate)

Did Sasha set the budget for these wines? Life is kind of short for bad wine.

Dandelion flowers; the root is an excellent bitter herb. Also, Lillies of the Valley, and Lilac for the beautiful smells.

Good show Gary. I liked that you touched on drinking red wine with fish. Would love to hear more about other red wines that go well with fish.

QOTD: The flower from the Birds of Paradise plant.

  • Depends, smell is lavender, appearance are knockout roses. I much prefer Cru Beaujolais to the village labeling and don’t find a huge price difference. You did hype another set of dogs.

I have had enough of these cheap ass wines. What, you only taste the good stuff by yourself so that you can throw the rest down the sink? These episodes are no good.

Gary, Loved the group tasting, both in dynamics and for the variety. Wish you would make a trip to Chicago and do that here!

QOTD – Lilac – nothing compares to its fragrance, even at 10 feet away.

QOTD: Carnations. Roses a close 2nd. Lavender for the scent.

Maybe some higher-end wines might have been nicer to feature, or even a blind-tasting going head to head with “on the cheap” vs. “ballers” for your guests.

  • Gary, I love the new sniffy sniff plug. I also agree with you,get that nose as far into the glass as possible. When I was first learning how to taste wine and appreciate it, I was always told to get my nose as far into the glass as possible. On a funny and unfortunate note, I have snorted a lot of wine because of how close my nose has been to the wine. It is funny to watch, but please try not to do it. Snorting wine doesn’t make the experience that much better, but it brings out a lot of laughs.

QOTD: Orchids,I love orchids. I love their smell, look, and colours. Great flower.
