Lines of the day – ‘I am a legend. What you have to appreciate is I’m one of the greats’ and ‘I hate the package’

Phenomenal episode(s) and I agree with Karl (below) that these shows normally work best when the guests are able to match GV’s personality and knowledge. And Gary, you are 100% spot on, the label on that 2nd wine is a shocker.

Great show. Gary still interrupted Nick quite a bit, but I think he did a better job than usual with his questions and comments. Nick is quite a character. His cab sounds amazing and I agree with him that Shafer is awesome.

QOTD: Nick, I don’t hate the label, but it doesn’t do much for me. I doubt that the label would have gotten my attention on a wine store shelf if I happened upon it. But I have no problem with it and I think the story behind it was really sweet.

    Alright,

If I didn’t get a new perspective of wine every time I watched this show, I might stop tuning in, so thanks again.

Amazing guest; if I can’t find his wine in Texas, can I still send money to the college fund?

QOTD: No, it looks an homage to Opus One

Fantastic guest! Truly a great two-parter.

QOTD: Sorry Nick- the label is no good. The story behind the label is great and personal, but without that info I would’ve been scratching my head on that one.

I do not like the label–it looks too much like opus, but it doesn’t look cheap.

    GARY–keep up the guest episodes!!!

  • I like the label. Labels are hard cause they represent a LOT of why we buy what we do in the shelf. Nice guy.

Great show, Nick and you are a real kick to watch.

QOTD: Saddly Nick, im not really into your label, i know it has some feeling behind it. Im a little bit of a traditionalist, so … the new forefathers idea seems cool. Anyway, try something new, it seems you can make a great wine, im sure you and the family can create a great label, Chelsea is old enough now she can help!

  • Nick, you’re AMAZING! Great Guest!

QOTD: I do like the wine label, it is simple, warm, and has a cool concept. My friend and I just started a creative house / design firm where we’re focusing on wine label design. If you ever want to collaborate on something LEGENDARY we would be more than willing / capable of helping you gain wine label design awards and Gary V wine label respect points.
