Your excitement over the Jets win is matched by the emotion we are feeling down here in New Orleans after the Brees and the Saints have given us one of the best starts to a season ever. What brought this longtime lurker to finally post is anticipation over two 3-0 (Tenn and Buffalo don’t stand a chance!) teams who have struggled to gain respect in the past going head to head in two weeks. Love the show! I know you’ve touched on such wines in the past, but I would love to see more “natural” wines a la Dressner and gang.

P.S. Bring your defense to the Dome! You’re gonna’ need it!

Hey Gary… I have gone Old World since I have been watching the show… I have been out of it since School starts. Love the show. I would come out to see you Saturday… I live in Houston… But I have Opera tickets that night. there is a great new retail price based wine bar in Houston called Block 7. 250+ bottles of wine kept at cellar temps. Their first light bill in the summer was $9000.00. Crazy. If you are in town early let me know… they have a nice Gigondas which is my new love. First Bottle is on me.

Ya gotta make them get their nose in a big ass glass… changes their world. I am so in to Rhone right now it is crazy. i use to be a fruit bomb guy. Still Love Dry Dreek and McLarin Vale.

BTW, I’m going to be emailing you about a European trip that I’m taking next summer. My wife and I are going on a cruise and we’ll be in Marseille for one day – actually 10 hours – next July. I’d like to get a recommendation for a chateau that is close enough to visit and still get back to the ship prior to sailing. Is Pesquie close enough? Or St. Jean du Barroux? Another recommendation??
