Great episode, great guest. Good to see GV chatting with someone on his exact same wavelength and especially when the subject is his favourite category, sparkling wines. Really enjoyable

Very fine episode. For the “new” wine region, why not pick up on your comment about riesling and go with an old, but “new” region of riesling in the Mosel. It is too overlooked and there are so many spectacular wines, and they are available at very reasonable prices.

QOTD…How about wines of Kentucky or Missouri (yes I’m serious). I don’t think you have hit these two. Also….how about a Norton Grape show??

Gary, I would love to see you tackle wines from Italy (Tuscany, Umbria, even Sicily), maybe even take a different route and tackle a specific varietal – I’m curious to see what’s happening with Chiantis. Whaddya think?

    You rock!

As a future testing and a great region to explore : Saumur. Especially for Sparkling wines, which are not as popular as Champagne, but worth it!
I would propose the Saumur Sparkling such as the Red Ruby from Bouvet-Ladubay. A UNIQUE experience!

I second the idea about wines from Missouri! There is a bike ride along the Katy Trail that goes by a few wineries that I am looking to do.

Although I don’t always understand some of the wine jargon, it entertaining to see two people with so much passion about something talk with each other.

I hate you for rinsing with Cristal! That wine is nectar of the Gods. I would happily drink the rinsings from the Vinho Verde. You are such a wine pig!

Ok, first part is great. I really like Joshua Greene. If part 2 is as good as part 1 I may subscribe to his magazine. I loved his take on grading wines. Great info on two day old wine as well.

Loved to see Gary get a little wine nerdy when he has to.

Great show guys. I am excited to go drink some wine.
