Another interesting wine to explore. Been to Naples but stuck with reds not knowing better.

  • This episode made me chuckle in the middle of a long work day.

Somewhere between visualizing “rock salad” and “razor blades on my tongue” made me giggle:)

Gary – man we missed you! It’s been a while….

Now that I’ve watched, nice episode….and Happy Birthday GV!

QOTD: Here’s what I have for you: Thanks for the inspiration!
I did my own side by side tasting with 2006 Nero D’Avola.
The Maggiovini Rasula (a raffle win) sour plums, caramel and a greeness on the nose; plum and sour plum, a hint of tomato, a little grip, the finish is quick but then lingers, a little bitter.
The more available Morgante Vedammia was a little denser in color. More fruit on the nose, strawberries, blackerries, vanilla; palate has the blackberries, a little sour cherries, a little licorice on the finish. Much rounder and more silky than the Rasula.
Probably not what you were expecting, but it’s wot I got. Peace.
