It really hurts to see these great offers! Let’s change the wine-world by getting delivery to Maryland or PA! Waa! No wonder you skipped us on the Bk-tour! Waa! Happy Thanksgiving Gary and many blessings to you and all your family!

i’ll be cooking a cornish game hen (since there’s only two of us) for the first time! very excited.

as for all these great wine offers, love them! how about some more washington wines? the more free shipping the better, and i really do feel for all of you in states with crazy laws. just went to a direct to consumer shipping “boot camp” put on by the wine institute and napa valley vinters and i cannot believe how difficult it is to get wines across state lines.

QOTD: I’ll be goin’ home to TN to my parents’ house–it’s the first time all of my immediate family will be together for thanksgiving in probably 4 or 5 years. So that’s exciting. I’m the resident dessert chef of my family, so I’ll be making something excellent and chocolatey and/or fruity. Yum. I’m also the resident wine expert of the family, but only by default–they know next to nothing, I know a little. So I’ll be doing the wine shopping as well.

Gotta love the butter bandit. He’s always welcome in my house.

QOTD: I’m bringing all of that. Waking up early to cook, eating too much, watching the game, and drinking heavily.

Tip for Moonfreeez: Make sure you cook those game hens on a raised rack so the bottoms don’t get soggy.

  • Nice Ep GV. I share your enthusiasm for being back in the thunderchair. It is made of win. It imbues you with special powers imo. :-p

Gary, I love Cinderella wine, and I’m super pumped for you. I hope it succeeds. Here’s the thing: I live in Alabama, where out of state shipping is not legal. This has been bugging me for a while. Like, really, really upsetting me.

My question is whether you know of any lobbying efforts to get a Congressional bill passed that opens up the lanes of wine commerce nation-wide. I ask because I want to support and be involved w. that effort.

The implication for your business is huge: Dude, your business is not reaching an ENTIRE STATE! I’d think that really burns you up. But I’ve rarely ever heard you speak about it. Well, it burns me up, because I want to support your biz, and I want those delicious wines!

I imagine there are other states with similarly archaic local laws in place. The only way to overturn them in one go (as far as I see) is to a) lobby each state legislature, or b) put some support behind a request for drafting of a bill (which would likely be sandwiched into an omnibus bill).

So if you or any of the Vayniacs that read this can point me in the direction of our nation’s Wine Lobby, I’d appreciate it.

QoTD – I’ll drive up to Nashville to spend Thanksgiving w/ Mom. I bring love and gratitude.

  • We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving in the UK. I like the idea of the Butter Bandit. So who would win in a fight between the Butter Bandit and the Oak Monster?

  • No buttery oak in any of them. I really have a hard time spending $60+ for a bottle of wine. Call me cheap, but times are tough. The first one sounds interresting. I wonder how it will open up in 2-3 years.

QOTD: Having in Portland, OR w/ inlaws. I’ll be bringing the charming conversation and humorous wit.

Now this is the WLTV that I remember…just a classic episode!!

Gary, you are really killing me with all these great deals with the secret packs and the Cinderella wines…remember…I LIVE IN MA. 🙁

QOTD: not going to answer that yet because I am not sure. I am usually in charge of the wines…so I am working on that.

Great chard episode. Every once in a while you need a little oak/butter explosion.

QOTD: My fiancee and I just bought our first home together and are going to be assuming the family responsibility of Thanksgiving at our house. 20+ people in our tiny house is going to be quite a feat.

QOTD: Flying 2000+ miles to Long Island, and I’m bringing… Nothing! That’s right, the wine that I bought from CinderellaWine has already been shipped there, it’s waiting to be opened, and that’s what I’m bringing to the table.

Super bummed about your mentioning the Ridge deal on CW, that was like a dagger to the heart. Even the wife was mad that I didn’t buy on that offer. Maybe you could offer it again this week for the idiots like me who have a problem pulling the trigger on a good thing sometime.

Awesome episode, I was pleased that you were pleased with the first two wines. So we’re both pleased. 🙂

QOTD – I will be in Spain on Thanksgiving and will bring nothing to the table except assistance to my friends on how to get from Jerez to Madrid that day. Do you ship wines to Georgia (interested in the 3 pack)?
