This is a SERIOUSLY awesome guest! I had the pleasure of meeting Jeff & tasting thru several of his wines a couple of years ago. Totally cool dude who consistantly pumps out some great wines.

  • Jeff rocks. One of the most fun and interesting cats I’ve met.

Estate bottled means something as long as the land is special and treated that way.

I do get giddy when I see some vyds on labels that aren’t estate “Demuth, Heintz, etc…” but what are they going to be like down the road?

Estate to me means total control. I respect that.

    First off, great guest!!

Gary, I’ve been following you now for about 4 years or so. Seen you on both sides of the microphone. While you really “bring the thunder” as an interviewee, you “suck” as the interviewer. What else can I say? 🙁

Doesn’t look like the $80 Estate Vineyard wine did much for you but I like how you handled the situation.

QOTD; When purchasing wines north of $50 bones, yes ‘Estate’ grown & bottled means something to me. One of my favorites is the Dominus ‘Estate’. With 8 to 10 years of bottle age you can’t beat it.

Great guest. Really brought the passion and was open and honest when you
    asked him some revealing questions.

QOTD: Not really. Buy, drink and judge wines by how well they are made.
However I am more passionate when I find one that is a small estate
producer – there is more romance in the bottle.
