  • Happy Thanksgiving: Gary, Mott and all of the Vayniacs, although it’s a little late I hope everyone had a great time.

QOTD: good question, I’m thankful for having good health that allows me to pursue what I want and do in life.

  • This was a two-parter for me. I watched the first half (whites) with 11 of us on Thanksgiving Day and today (Black Friday) I finished up with the reds.

First and foremost, we all wish you a most wonderful Thanksgiving and thank you for your tireless efforts to enlighten us in the world of wine. We can’t get enough of you so we “thank you”!

    Overall Ratings/Review:
#1 Leitz: Hands down winner of the two whites for the ladies. Myself and another gentleman went with the white Bordeaux as our favorite of the two. Leitz wins! Score: 89

#2 White Bordeaux: Unobtrusive, smooth, very nice white with many of the sides at the table. I loved it but I was in the minority. Score: 90+

#3 Primitivo (Botramango): $14 bones this is an amazing wine. I, too, like Kahuna have had this in the past from WLTV and it kicks serious ass. Very nice, smooth as silk, love it. Nice, nice. Score: 91+

P.S. Gary: You need to carry the Gravina (white) by Bottramango. Delish

#4 Chat Sansonnet: Whooooaaaaa Nellie. You picked a winner here. You have been praising this wine for some time and I can see why. For the price, this is one helluva wine. Merlot at it’s silky finest.

QOTD: As you, I am thankful first and foremost for my health. I would not be able to enjoy life or any of these wines unless I had great health. I’m also thankful I still have a job. There are alot of people unemployed and I feel for them.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING to you and the family and of course to Mott!

    Cheers!

    P.S. Sorry about the G-Men. πŸ™

  • Note to CoolDave about Direct Shipping:

I agree with you 110% so if there’s a way we can be an advocate to change these laws I’m there with you. Gary may be able to lend his hand in some way with info on who to contact.

I live in Maryland and feel your pain. Thankfully, I work in DC and have my WLTV wine delivered to work and then tote it home like a donkey.

    Cheers!

  • The Primitvio was amazing! Perfect with Turkey and the rest of a traditional Thanksgiving yesterday. At 14 bones it is quite a deal. Everyone enjoyed it. Just tried the Leitz Out with some leftovers this afternoon. It tasted sparkling without the bubbles and was a good leftovers wine because of the low alcohol content, allowing us to have some wine and then later go shopping for a few holiday bargains. I’m looking forward to the Cru Juste and Sansonnet.

I have a bottle of the 2004 Sansonnet and am holding it for one more year. Look forward to it. My 2005 Moillard Chablis “Vaillons” Premier Cru was perfect for our meal, but I would like to try the white Bordeaux with a similar meal.
QOTD: After watching Persepolis I am so thankful that I haven’t had to experience what the writer experienced in Iran. It was heartbreaking.
Also, I’m very thankful that my health is good.
Best wishes to you and everyone at WineLibrary and everyone’s families.
