French wines overpriced? No big surprise but funny to see GV hammering two disappointing efforts from Bordeaux

  • Ha! “it went from boring, to it murdered you.” Awesome.

QOTD: I can picture the label but I can’t remember the producer. It was an ’05, had a gold capsule, and it was from the right-bank…

    QOTD: All of them.
I’ve been to a number of Bordeaux tastings and every time I wonder what the hype is all about. I love a wide range of wine from all over the world. Tasting young Bordeaux is totally unpleasant. The only thing I detect is bitter tannins. Especially the Merlot heavy right bank, which I would compare to chewing on Asprin.
