    Sorry, Gary – I like your show, but I have no idea why anyone would want to review a Shiraz from a Cabernet region (Coonawarra). No one in Australia with any idea would buy a Shiraz from Coonawarra. It is like tasting a Pinot from Bordeaux. No wonder it was a shocker.

    The choice of a Pinot from Yarra Valley was more like it, as it has been consistently the best region for Pinot in Oz (Mornington Peninsula is a close second).

    Can you please distinguish Victorian regions – Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula, Pyrenees, etc, just like you distinguished South Australia regions – Barossa, Langhorne Creek, Connawarra, etc. There is huge regional variation. It would be great to see reviews for Reislings from Clare Valley/Eden Valley (just awesome); Semillon from Hunter Valley (amazing); Chardonnay from Margaret River; Cabernet from Coonawarra (you get real terroir in those). Noble One Botrytis Semillon is brilliant – amazingly, it is the only wine (bar none) that you would drink from its region – Griffith. Please review this at some stage.

    Biggest problem in the US – choice of Aussie wines is not great and tends to fit certain defined (not sure by who) “expectations”, so good stuff can be hard (but not impossible) to find.
