Wow that was the best oak monster in a while, very funny. But not for your palate. I have liked mollydooker a couple of years back, but have gone away from that style of wine now. I like a little more balance. I must be getting old… merry christmas Gary V.

Already got my gift… a few months off to spend with my family due to an accident at work… jumped down from a 10 ft fake boat to stop a shop lifter and broke my 2 heels. I believe I was working way too hard and needed some time off. Seems as though a higher authority made a decision for me 😉
Great show today… will be looking for the 05 Altolandon Manchuela here in Canada.

Love the show. I hope that in 2010 you continue to do more educational pieces. I love when you have various winemakers, and experts in to discuss the true art of making wine. I am still very new to this amazing world of wine, and love learning with you as you talk about the history of wine, the amazing science behind growing grapes and creating wine, and the do’s and don’ts of drinking.

One suggestion, I would love to hear about proper cellar techniques, the do/don’ts of collecting wine, and the advantages/disadvantages of buying “collectable’s.”

Maybe once a week, or every two weeks, hit up either stuff you can sell us a bunch of cheap, or stuff that is located everywhere, up and comers, closeouts, deals baby deals. Last year sometime, you did a special ustream on a petit verdot/tempranillo I think…anyway, It was really effing awesome. More of that anyway. You guys rock!

I was in Australia in 07′ and was lucky enough to visit coonawara, barrosa, yara and a few other regions that are mainstream in America now. Being originally from Australia and working at a small production winery I am biased, but the smaller guys downunder really hit the nail on the head for me. Elligant, lots of eucalyptus, well rounded and hardly ever over oaked. Hopefully we will see a revival of the small producers once the Aussie dollar has leveled off and the smaller producers feel they can import more again.
