    I respect Gary’s principles regarding WinelibraryTV as a non-selling platform.

    HOWEVER!! I get super pissed when I can’t find a wine that I really want to try. What ends up happening is: I find the wine (which Gary reviewed) I’m looking for at another store. The price is higher, the shipping costs more, and I end up not buying it. And you know what that means? No expansion of the palette my friends…

    At the very least, I would like a button that I could click which informs me via email that the product I am looking for is back in stock.

    GARY! Can you make this happen? I am a poor college student who doesn’t want to pay top dollar for anything, let alone wine.

    QOTD: I think you should review wines whether or not you have 10 cases. I’ve appreciated in the past when there was some buzz on a wine you reviewed it, sometimes quashing it and sometimes agreeing with the buzz. If you start rating crap good to sell it, the normal market factors will take over, but I doubt your stocking crap.

  • Who has better tasting notes Sasha or Helen Buehler? LOL- by far my favorite part of going to Wine Library is running into Sasha(ok free cheese samples are my favorite)- Plus we all know Sasha can still kick Gary's ass! Always love when the big guy is on!

    Coffee and cocoa flavors are something I good definitely go for. I have been on a big time white kick though lately, maybe I will have to save up for a bottle for my birthday next month. My friends and I are having a tasting.

    QOTD: Forget about your rules. I don't know why you are against pushing product on this show. As long as you aren't linking them up and saying buy buy buy I would like to hear your honest opinion on them and wouldn't mind the occasional we have a ton of this in stock plug.

    Never had an amarone, a little too expensive for me. I'm a CKC, and have a few more expensive wines but they are stashed away for later consumption. Maybe I'll have to consider adding an amarone or two or three to my collection.
    I'm raising my glass to 800 episodes of WLTV, and hopefully 800 more.

  • Great show! Had the privilege of tasting an ' 05 Masi Amarone which was very delizioso Very deep purple and aromatic – I'm with you one of my favorites!! Sasha can't wait to read your book if it's anything like your sons it will rock the house!!

    I didn't know that you have a rule about not putting wine on the show which you have more than 10 cases of. Just because a wine is on the show, in my eyes, didn't necessarily mean you were trying to push it to sell. I never thought about it that way, I always just see this as an opportunity to hear your tasting notes, whatever the wine, not that you have a motive behind the wines other than to “try new things”.

  • There was a second where I thought Sasha was going to say that “it smells like wine.” That was close.

    I like that #800 was just another episode. It shows that things are going to keep rolling as always.

    QOTD: Unfortunately, I don't care because WL doesn't ship to WA so it makes no difference to me.

    QOTD: You guys always post the wine's price “On Sale” if available at Wine Library. I don't see why you can't feature your dad's wine although you could always pan it and say it sucked. The thing I see is WLTV has to be good for business even if you rip apart a wine – no matter the pedigree. What's important is your honesty and integrity.

  • QOTD: Don't if Winelibrary Tv is meant to be and informative plattform only. Do, if the wines actually brings new things to the table. I can't buy from your store anyway so… But, remember. “try new things “. 2010 the year of thight and new things? 🙂
