    Never had St. Joseph but will certainly give it a try now. You really pumped it up, so it has to be good. Of the two you tasted, I think the Domaine Courbis St. Joseph Roye would be more to my liking going by your description.

    In the Coke v Pepsi debate, I'm going Coke all day (and any soda pop is better from the fountain as far as I'm concerned).

    QOTD: Fav Introvert – My brother. Just a great family man. Solid dude who keeps mostly to himself ( i know, not a flashy choice, but the honest choice). And Tony Dungy would be a close second. Fav Extrovert – I'm honestly not trying to kiss ass here, but you, yes you GV, would be my fav extrovert…honestly. So glad I found this show and I have been soaking up the knowledge from you and the forum ever since I did find it.

    I shouldn't have read the comments cause now I gotta say Chris Mott is my favorite introvert and Gary is the sometimes humble fav Extrovert. I used to love a coke now and then but after they put HFCS in them all I avoid most all the time. Now they want to put real sugar in them and charge more. F them all!
    I need some free shipping! I'd love to try both of these wines. I don't think I've had a St Joe.

    I got love for the Rhone but most say I haven't had a St. Joseph…yet.

  • I drink a lot of St. Joseph it and Crozes-Hermitage are the only Northern Rhone wines that are still reasonably priced.

    Alright! Great show!!! I had to buy two bottles of that first wine – that was quite a review. I love the Rhone wines, some of my favorite wine experiences are from this area, though I have not had a St Joseph. I will in a few days, though!

    QOTD: My favorite extrovert of all time…my favorite at the moment anyways is Ricky Gervais, an English comedian and actor. I think he is brilliant. My favorite introvert…probably Bobby Kennedy. I don't know that he was so introverted, but I get the feeling he was. I think he is one of the great people that has ever lived. A brilliant life and good man cut down so early in his life.

    QOTD Sub: I don't drink pop, I never have, but I like the Coca Cola symbol better, so let's go Coke.

    QOTD: EXTROVERT- (i wont go with the obvious) my father. who else is willing to pull out an extendable fork during dinner, reach over to another random table, steal a sample off some strangers plate, and yet manage to make everyone laugh about it?
    INTROVERT- my friend brett…his nickname is shyguy. the great thing about it is that he has overcome that and now plays in a band. and he is a ginger, so that is cool.

  • I like Ferraton Pere & Fils, Paul Jaboulet Aine and Domaine Courbis in the St. Joseph area. Recently had a 2005 J.L. Chave Sélection St. Joseph Offerus which I really enjoyed.

    Good episode, really good episode. I love the northern Rhone and would choose it over Bordeaux any day!

    qotd 1 – Neither if I have any choice at all (in a lot of ways they symbolise many of the things I don't like about the world), but if I really had to choose; Coke

    qotd 2 – Yes, love them.

    QOTD: The biggest Extrovert would have to be my father, while the introvert catergory could be taken by so many of the kids I teach in Hong Kong (such great people, but so shy).

    QOTD#1: Neither.. Quit all soda due to the phosphoric acid in it which leeches nutrients from the bones and teeth.. Not to mention the fact it throws the body into an acidotic state.. Now its diet arizona iced tea and fuze slenderize..

    Jones Soda is where it's at in the soda pop world. Can't keep it stocked in our office fridge. Their sugar-free black cherry soda is a big hit too.

    I never spend more than $25 a bottle so I've never had many of these varietals of which you speak, including these St Josephs.

    Fav Extro: None, they annoy the heck out of me, including you Gary.

    Gary, I've been loving the regional histories/fun facts at the beginning of the show. It's always good to know where the wine is coming from.

    Aside 1: Coke. (I won't even drink Pepsi if it's free).
    Coke and Evander… that's a lot of ATL love for one show.

    Aside 2: Never had a St. Joseph. I do love a good Syrah, though, so maybe I'll hunt some down for a special occasion.
