    QOTD: No

    Like when you review Pinots

  • It was interesting to see you score the last one so high even though it was really tight on the nose. I always thought you put a lot of emphasis on the sniffy sniff,

QOTD: funny story about your book: I tried dropping hints that I wanted it for christmas, but my dad decided to buy it for himself instead…maybe I can get it when he is done. I guess that counts as a no though…

  • I pretty much do this for every episode, let alone the blind tastings! Guess it before he sayz it. Love it!

  • amgryger

You drank tasted a wine that had been open for 3 days and gave it a fairly low score when it dissapointed? That should have been a “no score” situation, IMO.

    QOTD: No.

  • winecrazy

    Nice…. I love Pinot!!!!!

    My twitter name is WINECRAZY

Yes….I bought 100……and 1 books. The one you signed for me I almost walked out with it without payong unti Matt reminded me…..so I paid for his tow books as well. So make that 103 books bought…..by me, G. Francis…aka Winecrazy….lol

PS…..still no email notifications…..again I'm in the 200's when I should be in the top 10.

    🙁

  • Don Simpson

Very interesting episode. Agreed, always enjoy the blind tastings! Pinot Noir price point still pisses me off… When I want to spend that much I usually buy a Burgundy.

QOTD: Yes. I picked up Crush It in the fall, BUT… I haven't read it yet.

  • QOTD: I bought four copies

  • pooky

thanks for everything you do and keeping it real.

QOTD-got 60 books…. have given away 38, which includes taking back 9 and giving them away again because they would not read the book. Got them the day you called out a book a minute. still have to hook up

take care gary, get some sleep.

First time i have watched the show in a while it's so awesome I'm kicking my own ass for wasting time going to school and working.
that's a no on the book bro 🙁 obligatory sad face )

  • QOTD: YES YES YES! I loved it so much I picked up copies for my family and made them read it too! Everyone needs a little GaryVee in their life!

  • Don Simpson

I'm confused. Are you drinking the wines along with Gary and scoring, or are you guessing what scores he's going to give based on his reactions?

  • Don Simpson

    funny user name, nice job.

  • carlo10

right there with ya…but dont worry, it is a really quick read. and it got me even more motivated for school.

  • Beeper

    Always love the blind tastings…

    QOTD: yes.

  • Biznass

QOTD: Yes. I pre-ordered it on amazon, bought one at Borders when I saw it there, Went and bought one at the signing in Sonoma. Thank you Gary. Got my Crush It wrist band. Thanks again. Now I am wondering about the drawing I was entered into at the signing for the Crush It Cruise. Was there a winner and was it me?

Not only did I buy the book, I also attended your book signing at the World Market in Los Angeles. Thank you for speaking to us after signing all the books. You were very generous with your time.

  • Biznass

Also love love love the blind tasting

  • jimchem

    QOTD: no.

  • Beeper

I think the idea is that you guess what Gary's writing on the back (i.e. the score) of the bottle as he's tasting.

  • Don Simpson

Dear Chalkboard – I do not have a Twitter account.

  • Not only did I buy four copies, I had my dad buy two.

    @squarebreak

  • Love the bind tastings as always.

QOTD: Yes 2 (two) copies….not sure if that counts twice though…

QOTD: Of course I read the book. Never pass up the chance to read how Gary lobs social-media hand-grenades into traditional advertising's bunker. By the way, the blind tastings are the best way to taste, in my humble opinion. Trust yourself. Forget about the lables, prices, regions, packaging, screw-tops…if the juice is good, it's good.

Ha ha. I do the exact same thing. I’m not half bad at guessing what he’s going to score a wine.

I got the idea for the blind scoring when I saw him write the number on the bag during his last blind tasting. I think it’s more difficult to get his score when the price is unknown. It surprisingly more difficult. Give it a go next time.

  • I love PN, but I'd love to see some at a better price point.

QOTD: no Crush It yet. might pick up a copy at SXSW.

  • viggo21

    Yes…read Crushit.
About time we had some Pinot Noir on the show! Love the blind tastings!

  • you know it

  • JasonGonzales

I'm guessing what Gary is going to score the wine based on his reaction.

  • JasonGonzales

    Nailed it.

  • legrec

Love the blind tasting episodes. Shocked not to see a French Pinot though or even a Chilian…You need to do another show with 4 from other countries to be fair.

    QOTD No.

  • winedrinker

    No, havent bought it.

  • Laura Olson

Just discovered your video blog today, so haven't read your book . . . yet. Love the blog, but think you need a candle to view the color of the wine. Also, a nicer background would be great–maybe a mural of France or Italy?

  • Gonna check out those Cali Pinots!

QOTD: No (not yet, but will)

QOTD: Yep, I bought Crush It. Gave it to my cousin as a Christmas gift. She runs a wine tasting company in Los Angeles called Wine Tastings For Los Angeles, or as it's better known, WTF LA. Left coast Vayniacs, check it out, she's all over the net, trying to get an iPhone app.

  • teledyme

Yes. Audible Standard, Audible HQ versions Great book! I wish I had known about the Vook version!! I may have to buy a 3rd Version. Just watched V809 as my First Episode ever of Win Library TV thanks to Crush It!

  • nutworth

    no

  • JustinM

Hell yes! I got 5 copies. Count em. Vote early and vote often.

  • Yes. Second day it was out.

My sister went to the Portland book signing. Sat through your 2 hour talk and she now hates you (sorry), but stuck it through to get her little sis a Gary signed book for Christmas. I have 2 now.

  • corkscrew

Have both your books (signed copies), will admit I have read 101 but not Crush yet. Surprised you did not ask what good or favorite Pinot's listeners have had..some very good affordable ones are Deloach, LaFond, Erath, McMurray, Thumbprint, Holdredge, Avana, lucky to be in wine club for Kosta Browne and Ketchum (winemaker Michael Browne), best Oregon are Eversham and Ken Wright. http://www.winelx.com

  • Sherritt

Just bought the book yesterday . . . which is why i just checked out your blog today. 🙂 Very excited about both. Thanks for the inspiration. As an Oregonian a bit bummed the Oregon Pinot did not make a better showing . . . but there are plenty more to bring to the table for future shows.

  • steveblue

Yes I picked up Crush It (paid for it) and then after a few pages put it back down.
A lurker comes out after watching over 450 episodes without ever posting a comment!

  • Mike_Nelson

No, I have not purchased your book. Great episode. I would love to see what you would rate these wines if they were decanted for just 3 hours. 😉

  • WhoDat_Noir

Sorry Gary I have not picked up Crush it yet

On the subject note of wine… “You're killing me smalls”
    $40, $25, $40, and $68 bones. C'mon Man!!!
Us college kids can't afford those price points. I need some value in my life Gary V. Can I request a college kids value plays and maybe some bubby for the Saints Superbowl victory on Sunday.
Who Dat?!? (this message approved by the NFL)

  • Wineink

Did not buy it YET but I honestly did not know you existed until, like, 4 months ago and I've just about caught up on wltv. Will buy it at some point . Drinking some LYeth meritage 2003 tastes like a pencil. Shame, pretty nose. What have you done to me?!! I used to like oak.

  • I didn't pick up the book. I am new to you and wine. When I come into some extra cash, I'll probably check it out.

  • Pick up a bottle (or 6) of Freixenet (Fresh-eh-net) Cava @ $12 bones a bottle. Great bubbles that don't break the college tuition/book bank. Geaux Saints!
