  • Has any one ever had wines from Temecula, CA???

  • SourGrapesFC

hey Gary, really enjoyed the episode. Made me want a glass of pinot, so I guess I might be hitting the store before the weekend.

    QOTD: No, sorry.

  • WHLWINELOVER

    QOTD:No I did not.
Been watching for over a year first post, love the show.

  • thnx for supporting the show :)_

  • bfr1028

I didnt know that , i thought it was just another commercial site….. See we do learn things here!!! Thanks

    Keith

  • ex_Cuse88

QOTD: no. I'm really interested in your opinion of the Valli with a pop and pour. I'm a big fan of Central Otago Pinot and find them a bit delicate to re-visit them after three days.

  • bclintster

just seen your book on itunes i think im going to get it. from the preview it sounds good

  • thnx so much, i think it is 😉 lol

  • Thnx so MUCH WHL!

  • No need to be sorry thnx for supporting the show 🙂

  • Good job Oscar 😉

  • RANDINTHECITY

    btw…. @randinthecity

  • QOTD: No
    Fun show – thanks, Gary!

  • JC

Good show, Gary. Visited the W-Valley in OR this summer. Some nice stuff there.
I have a question for you. When you drink wine off the show, do you slurp and aerate to maximize flavor profiles? I DO and my wife hates me for it… Am I wrong?

QOTD – Not yet…. I asked for it for my 50th a couple weeks ago, but got socks instead…

    Go Colts!!!!!!!!!!!!

    r/ JC

  • Andrew

QOTH: YES! I loved the book. Thank you for writing it and thank you for doing this show, Gary. You've taught me more about wine AND social media (and passion, and caring) than anyone.

  • JR

I think the airation could be an issue here. I dont usually like to leave pinot open even overnight. I find it can go very sharp and thin.

QOTD: No. Havent seen any copies in NZ

  • Karl B

Sorry Gary, I did not get the book

  • KAHUNA

You are going blind for a different reason

  • vinoreviews

Yes, I picked up both the actual book for myself and a good friend of mine. Also purchased the audiobook which was an entertaining listen.

Great to see the Cally Pinots representing, should have thrown a french and or chilean pinot into mix for the blind tasting.

  • WineWoman

I guessed that bottle #1 was a NZ pinot. Thought Cali and Oregon would be represented, but that KMurph would have slipped in an Italian pinot.

The Bet: No. I watch most of your Internet posts, shows, talks, TV appearances, etc. Too many books, so little time, as with wines.

  • KAHUNA

The Galaxy is getting angry! LOL-

  • WineWoman

Palumbo Family Winery—close to 10 years ago. At the time the best for the area.

  • Nice Blind Pinot Show !

    QOTD: YES

  • Phil G

Nice stuff – love the blind shows!

QOTD – Sorry to say, but I didn't buy a copy of Crush It – though I am really glad that the book was such a success!

  • vpass64

Gary I haven't picked up your book yet. Key word is yet. You should have 3 categories. 1. Those who have the book. 2 Those who don't and don't want to get it. 3. Those who don't and wish to get it. I'm still in college, working a job, and starting a business. All I have time for is just winelibrarytv. I promise I'll get to the book this summer. Too bad about the NZ wine. I'm a dual citizen from NZ. My uncle is involved in Australia with Brokenwood wines. Have you tried them?

  • WineWoman

A lot of “recent” book purchases since th question was posed. 🙂

  • don

gary bought your book today and looked you up online watched episode 809 would like to meet and learn how to enhance my world with your ideas great job with the internet and the book look forward to meeting you don see you at the speaking event or

blind tastings are always fun, but it would be way more exciting if you zoomed in to see if Gary makes the shot every time.

QOTD: No, haven't got the book yet, haven't even seen it in a bookstore yet, was lookin for it when it first came out. may get the audio version on itunes at some point

  • imskyhigh

got 4 copies + the audio book

  • AT475

Great Show – Love the blind tastings.

    QOTD: No.

  • Love the blinds, keep them up. Gotta say though, three days of being open is kinda harsh, from my tasting experience very few wines are really built for that long time exposure to air IMO.

QOTD: No, not this time around. But now that I see there is an audio book I might be up for that, too ADD for reading books.

  • KAHUNA

wow – I actually felt your pain missing those shots- personally I do not feel that pain as my skills do not let me down

  • KAHUNA

QOTD: Yes I picked it up and so could my unborn baby since that book is so light 😉

  • KAHUNA

So you do like Petite Sirah – it just has to be mixed in with your Pinot

  • Askold Shegedyn

    Yes.

  • jeffsjeff

    QOTD: Yes. Four times.

And as a side note (and perhaps already mentioned), Mythbusters tested the myth of a penny dropped from the Empire State Building and determined that it wouldn't kill you and may not even injure you. Generally, wind up-drafts prevent pennies from falling all the way to the ground from the top of a building that high. So don't be afraid.

I agree, pinots after 3 days is usually not a pretty taste. I'm working too Gary!

  • rickredekop

  • cabwhore

oh, bought 3 signed copies (two on my desk right now) and gave 3 away for XMAS! start writing again please…I need more!

  • bfr1028

If Garys Bet was to see how well we follow instructions, we have failed miserably!!

  • bwine

Nice show. You nailed the cost/quality progression.

QOTD: No; I'm interested in wine but self help not so much.

  • bdshupe

Yes. I couldn't turn down the price on Amazon.

  • ahillsey

QOTD: Didn't get the book yet, reading too many textbooks.

  • nicko

    QOTD: No, I didn't.

  • XpensiveWino

Much love for the Cali Pinots. There are so many great NoCal Pinots that don't get the credit they deserve.

QOTD: No, I have not. As a stay at home Dad, I'm too busy “Crushing It” with the kids. Although I do feel I need to support the cause.

  • That means that gary will read books…as long as he wrote them! Heh.

  • JasonGonzales

Hey boys and girls, you know what time it is!
