    I heard about you like a few months ago through a friend and not being a big wine drinker I pretty much just told my friend, Whatever dude.

    Then out of nowhere a week ago another friend recommended to get this book called CRUSH IT…

    Did I buy the book.. No, No I didnt. I bought the Audio book 🙂

    I listened to the minute sample of it and after that I was all about it!

    Hello Gary V and the Nation!! First off i never thought i would hear my handle called out on an episode 🙂 (it stands for “BareFoot Radio” for anyone wondering, which comes from the CB days)and i would like to thank everyone for their help with my problem.

    Its great to see people interacting nicely here and it reminds me of the BBS days when there wasnt any internet and our personal pc's passed messages around the world state to state country to country on really slow modems.
    Just for giggles today ,I took a look at the WineLibrary on Google maps Street View, WOW that building is Huge!! If you look hard enough you can see GV looking out the office window 🙂

    OK back to wine…… I cant seem to keep up with Gary. Im drinking as fast as possible but he tastes faster than i drink LOL. I just tasted my first Petite Sirah “Bogle 2007” With every sip i can see Tarzan beating his chest shouting “ME WINE ,YOU NO FORGET” It is big but im not sure i like this yet,ill know by the end of the bottle, but im glad im trying somthing new.

    QOTD: If i new where to get it i would allready own it!

    Sugestion to Gary: How about a place on the web that we “The Loyal Nation” can rate wines we try with a thumbs up, neutral, or thumbs down?? Could be very helpfull to the community at large when looking to make a purchase…

    Pinot is delicious, but all of those (even the Oregon effort at $25) are toooooooo pricey. Gary, I would love to see more value play on the show. Money is MAD tight and though I love the good (and expensive) stuff, right now I need some winners at reasonable prices! Can you help a brother out?

    Bit don't know if I would buy it again….I mean, you are obviously getting soft and weak as evidenced in this episode when you sniffed out the bacon and barnyard in wine #1, saw it was a screw-cap, but then epic failed to immediately call it out as being from New Zealand….specifically Otago. lol Can't believe you called yourself out on that at the unveiling. You're the freakin Sherlock Holmes of the wine world. I guess that means that by your side is Dr. Mott-son.

    Word up as usual, fab job on the blind. Ever done St Innocent Pinots? Love those jobs.

    No – did not. Love the blinds. Had a Pinot Noir – BV Carneros which really showed good with scallops with tomato basil sauce. Stood up – stood up good.

    Nice show; California's a force with which to be reckoned as evidenced by an extremely graceful bottle of '04 Etude Deer Camp Pinot I'm currently sipping and sniffying.
    QOTD: No, not yet. Entrepreneurialism hasn't really been my bag, although, I suppose it might be useful in negotiations with Boards and Managements of Orchestras across the country…?

    Yes but in exceptionally tiny quantities. There are all kinds of secondary enzymatic processes going on in there that destroy virtually all of the free oxygen in the head space. There is a very small amount of O2 that migrates through the cork over time. But again, that gets gobbled up pretty fast. I think three days of an oxygen rich head space could definitely be a game changer. That’s why I think Gary should re-taste the wine. I’m not saying the 3 days did make the difference. I am saying it could have.
