    So very great to see Sasha on the show again…it has been a fun, informative, and unique ride in the last four years.

    QOTD: I think one interesting thing that might be neat for the store to do would be include a tasting area in the store with the top 10 selling reds & whites, and top 5 sparkling & stickies for customers to taste. It's probably a logistical nightmare to set something like that up…but it would allow consumers to make a very informed decision before buying some of the wines in your store.

    A very good book (the first I ever bought, and still a favorite) is 'The Essential Wine Book' by a bloke named Oz Clarke. It is informative & accessible, and covers practically every wine region in the world. It is updated pretty much yearly, so be sure to get the current copy. It is a softcover, and is around $20. Clarke (an Englishman) is a talented writer & taster who has won many awards; furthurmore, his style makes for an entertaining read.

    It’s pretty good for Australian Shiraz, but at an estimated $300 here in Denmark it’s not really value-for money. I work in a wine store, so it was part of a 15-25 wine tasting programme, so I did not actually do extensive notes. I remarked that it was in a more classical style than typical Australian Shiraz.

    I also had the chance to try a VERY expensive wine in a metal bottle(not sure of the name) and a wine called “The Wine” all australian high-end and EXTREMELY good.

    Then again, I tend to prefer european wines 😉

    I second that. In fact, the navigation on the WL website in general leaves much to be desired. It’s hard to just find different categories of wines. There should be lists of wines by style and/or country and/or varietal that are easy to find.

  • Yes Gary, what’s the word? I would be more interested to go to Cost Plus or BevMo and see what your scores and notes are on select wines than to see RP’s or WE’s.

    Totally agree with shipping internationally. I live in Japan, and only have one website in English over here: Enoteca.com and their prices are outrageous. Im suffering for some choice vino. Either that, or team up with the military exchange to get a better selection chosen by you guys, or a gift pack available through the exchanges.

    Love the show, I only have a AppleTV over here, and if it wasn't for your almost daily antics, I would turn into a pumpkin. Keep it up, and when I get back in the states, I promise I will order massive amounts of vino's to expand my ever changing palette… Most likely not F U. Too mean.

    Fantastic show – talk about your 'hustle & flow'………great chemistry between you two.
    Could feel the generous love between you two. Was very happy that you two enjoyed a pricey bottle of wine with a sub sandwich, classic and real. Keep up the great work on winelibrary. Wine is life!

    QOTD – I visit WL weekly. I'd love for there to be a designated tasting area (second floor corner by the fish tank) with daily wine tastings. Kinda like another NJ merchant who shares the same first name has in their Wayne, NJ store. Oh and the mini size nyquil tasting cups have to go.

    I got my first notification that a new show was up yesterday. All I did is put my email in the subscribe link thingy. You;ve probly tried that but try it again.

  • Understandable, however when each of them said that recently it was in context to (and in reference) of the episode just after the first of the year. Mott said his in the one of the next few episode taped after that; and Sasha joked with him in the fact that Mott “already used it”

    QOTD – I haven't the seniority to be able to suggest changes or improvements to WLTV… Just keep it going! One possible item – maybe you could bring back the “here's what I'll be tasting in a few days” feature?

    P.S. – If the “????” ends up replacing the middle finger in the US, it will be attributable to this episode.

    Sasha, you are the man…….do you remember the dinner at LouCas with you, me and KAHUNA (& 20 others) whooping it up…..when I finally got you to admit that you wanted to BOP Conan!! LOL

    was before i really hates wine but since i watch the show i start drink a glass of wine,now i really enjoy drinking it,theres lot of surprise in every bottle of wine. i regret missing the show few years ago,,,,GOOD JOB GARY,,,

    QOTD : overall WLTV is very good,but always keep your attractive show and invite more guest even they dont know about wine so much, so in the show the will get some experience and maybe start to enjoy drinking wine just like me….
