now you my friend have good taste. Have you tried their herb encrusted version of the Bree? if you have not you must do so, its better then the regular Bree, and that is saying something.

  • I could live on cheese, wine and bread!

  • As a european ( not French but quite close, Belgian ), cheese is excellent with wine…

Usually cheese is much better with RED wine, not WHITE !!!

    But I didn't taste those wines…

    Radical idea!

  • John_Kenneth

Qotd: Comte cheese, especially if you have a bottle of vin jaune from the Chateau-Chalon appellation, it's a match made in heaven.
I know you love cheese Gary, you should definitely have some comte with some vin jaune.

Also Gary, I was thinking about how much fun it is when you have your dad on and how we haven't seen SIR Gary Vaynerchuk in a while. What are the chances of having them BOTH on the same episode together? The idea of that and picturing your dad's reaction as he sits there next to SIR Gary Vaynerchuk have me cracking up thinking about it. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he walked off the show mid episode. I doubt we'll ever get treated to that one-two punch, but that would be great.

  • Allan

Qotd: Stilton, I likes da stinky stink!

Awesome show G, when ya ever gonna do a bad one??

    ; )

Justin Novello ROCKS! He needs more air-time!

  • adrums

Fun show, liked the in-law banter.
QOTD: Two choices come to mind both of the soft, gooey variety, and also French.
    1: Domaine de Vallage
    2. Fromage d'Affinois

  • adrums

QOTD…I must Xpand my cheese palate. though I did have a pretty good blue on top of some grilled romaine lettuce with bacon and balsamic

  • geoffmiller

South African Sauvignon Blancs are the Bomb but did you know that the world's best Camembert according to the World Championship is made by Fairview, the makers of Goats du Roam and sold at their winery along with a variety of house made olive oils and other cheeses.

  • Allan

cellarrat5!!! i'm in awe of you! i really mean it!

  • castello

You're at a wine store. Get another bottle if it's corked! Please.
I like a lot of cheeses but I have a hard time pairing properly. Is that the way KM wanted them paired?
    Great show!

  • Allan

WRONG! White is better, well we can argue till bright daylight about this i'm sure, but let's just say i won alright?!?! ; )

    THNX.

  • Allan

I could live on wine, cheese and bread!

  • cellarrat5

Yeah, totally agree. I would have waited the extra minute or so.

  • Allan

  • Mia

Justin rocks…I LOVE CHEESE! My favorite cheeses are Rochetta and La Tur, probably similar to the goat cheese you taste-tested. I'm curious about the X white, sounds interesting. Great show, as usual, I always learn something.

  • mattgmann

I totally thought all the chese would be like $30/lb. Props for bringing some value cheese.

  • Allan

    Hey mattgmann!

    Sax on the beach!!!

    ; )

  • adrums

    Seriously.

  • Allan

I totally agree castello! Pairing cheese and wine is a science! Pairing red with cheese is multo difficult! White is much more easy..

  • mattgmann

you should try Velveta and Boone's Farm

  • cellarrat5

Really enjoyed this episode. The wines did not do so well but you made up for it with the Brother in Law cheese banter. You should have Justin on the show more often. Pig shit, eating the crap out of some cheese and corked wine, who could ask for more?

QOTD: no brainer for me here; Fromager d'Affinois Herb Bree, amazing with almost any mid bodied white that I have tried it with. Take a few Crimini shrooms, put them on the grill while roasting garlic to a paste consistency. Then get a sauté pan with some butter thyme and a little salt and pepper. Put the garlic and Bree in the bottom of the hollowed out shroom then slowly heat the Bree mentioned above until the garlic and Bree have a similar consistency. AMAZING gastronomic delight, have paramedics standing by.

  • Allan

You're welcome! You like me too, Say IT! NOW! ; )

    That's ok

  • mattgmann

    yo dude,

I'm drinking some cheap riesling called Kung Fu Girl that is badass with some local young cheeses. I think gary reads my mind.

  • NY Pete

    hey hey

  • cellarrat5

    I totally dig you Allan!!

Sent directly from my brain to your computer/cellular device.

  • mattgmann
