    QOTD: Dislike.
    Miss the other stuff.

  • Good stuff!

  • ow only 2 so far…..

  • QOTD: Doesn’t the Languedoc produce more wine than the Loire?

Love the new, tight format. Less fluff, more info, good QPR. Besides, you have less time for longer episodes seeing you have to prep for weekly 2 hour episodes on Sirius!!

I’m waiting for some Loire wines coming from my order through my wine society. Looking forward to the Sauvignon Blancs & the Chinons that I ordered. The mini-shows are OK, but please don’t go 100%, the blind tastings and multi-tastings would be missed.

  • ALBINO

Not sure I like the new format.. Longer is better as WE LOVE YOU TO DEATH GARY!!!

  • luv the fluff….its good fluff. little longer on most days best

Not bad with the short and sweet episode. Dont know enough about the Loire Valley. Like the fact they make lots of whites, dont like the fact that they are mostly sweet white. Congrats GV on the Radio program. Way to be Crushing It. Is is just me, or is it about time Sasha makes another appearance on WLTV? Anybody else agree with me out there?

  • QOTD: What I know about the Loire Valley is that it love the wines. That’s the first place I’m going to visit when I go to France.

New format is fine, but maybe 2 or three wines… 10 minutes or so.

  • Loved the show! Go Kermit!!!

Keeping a tight show like this is great but don’t bag the long format as well, both are great. The switch up is nice.

    GV:

I like the theme weeks…pick a format for the week and let it fly!!!

  • Redcuso

    Great Idea!!!
Perhaps some quick google earth geography zoommin’ in on these regions. ‘Come on tech guy!!

Loire is the best, love ’em.

qotd; it’s all good the way you mix it up, you’ll never do any one format anyway.

  • mannyn

    i like fluff

  • NY Pete

    hey hey

  • My first episode in a while — you brought me in with the region.

QOTD: I like Cab Franc from Loire best of all.

I prefer the shorter shows — much more likely to watch when it’s short and sweet.

  • NY Pete

if you keep pumping out 5 and a half minute shows, you can go on forever … 😛

  • Tom T.

Let’s see I know this about the Loire Valley – SANCERRE!!! That’s about it (and Vouvray too). I like the short format a lot. It is cool of you to go over the more “nerdy” aspects of a wine.
    Great episode…..

  • Very good point LOL!

  • me 2 🙂

  • hmmmmmmmm thnx Timmy!

  • Ok good to know!

  • Thnx Dan, will do!

  • hmmm good thnx

  • Thnx pal 🙂

  • got it 🙂

  • Oh I have time for u guys forever!

Dang, was this the shortest episode where a wine was actually tasted? Love Loire Ch. Blanc, though! Haven’t had this area as far as I can remember

QOTD — in terms of wine, a fair amount, but will be learning more; in terms of the general history, a lot!

  • NY Pete

yeah, right … insert doucheroll here.

  • The new format is superb – lots of good info – would like a bit more on the flavor — maybe compare it to another wine. Easy to watch – easy to follow — very clean video – sound a little low on my system even with everything pushed up to the max. Overall – a 90+

I very much like the tight, information-packed episode.

  • Not bad. Lots of interesting info. Looks like you’re planning on switching up the format between long and short which I think it a pretty good idea. Overall though I like both. Keep up the good work!

  • Absolutely loved the format. I really appreciate the razor sharp focus on the wine.

    Love the 5 minute format!!!!

  • Absolutely loved the format. I really appreciate the razor sharp focus on the wine.

  • QOTD – Sancerre is full of win. Doesn’t that Chambord liquor come from the Loire as well?!

I prefer the 15 minute episodes with 3 wines personally. A little compare and contrast with the three bottles is quality and makes for interesting notes, that is, the subtleties within a varietal and how each of the 3 bottles expresses the grape type. Just my opinion.

  • Absolutely loved the format. I really appreciate the razor sharp focus on the wine.

I like the 5-10 minute shows — 20+ minute shows get to be too much and I don’t tend to watch the whole show. Love the XM show and the format 🙂

I spent 3 days in Loire last year. It was wonderful. I tasted reds in Chinon and whites in Vouvray and surrounding areas. I highly recommend it. Enjoyed the tight episode, especially for smaller, lesser known regions. Thanks

Like the tight shows for a change; lots of good info packed in. Love the Loire valley, especially Sancerre and Pouilly-fume; very refreshing wines for the most part

Nice new format, the in-depth info is very much appreciate. You could alternate between both formats.

Also, I’m from Montreal, i’m french speaking. I notice you are often way out in the pronunciation when reading the labels. I was wondering if it’s because it’s not important for you / don’t have time to learn, or if it’s something common for non-french speaking wine-enthusiasts. If it’s common, do you guys have a hard-time understanding each others when you discuss wines ?

Anyway, let me know if I can help with something, I’d be glad to help.

Great show, great content, love it.
    thanks

  • I liked this more compact version of WLTV. I was able to absorb more history/info about the wine because you stayed tightly on topic. Your fluff is fun, but you have other mediums for that. 🙂

  • I don’t even like wine. But Gary Vay-Ner-chuk… 5 minutes, 10minutes, 2 hours, anyway you slice it I like it. I like Gary V

First of all, I’ve got to ‘call a spade a spade’- saying the wine has a 95CT rating means nothing (in my opinion) when it’s one random person reviewing it, as is the case here. Anything like that has to be taken with a grain of salt, it can’t just be thrown out there as a selling point. I know people that would give the Sutter Home white zin a 95. If 20 people reviewed it and it still had that score across numerous palates, now that would be a different story.

QOTD: a) Actually the Loire is the one area of France I probably couldn’t tell you much about compared to any others. I’ll work on that! I’ve got the Karen MacNeil’s Wine Bible right here so I’ll get back with you…
    b) I love the info, keep that up for sure, but in general I like 3-4 wines better, or at least 2, just so as you’re discussion an area/style it gives more of a reference in terms of being able to compare the two wines: sometimes they may be almost identical, other times just similar, other times completely different yet still of the same region/style. Plus back in the early days of the show you said you wanted to taste every wine made and one a day isn’t going to get that done anytime soon 😛

Just my 2 cents, take it or leave it

  • Perfect Format- short sweet -one taste at a time – only thing I would like to see is a visual map of the area for each tasting – WLTV makes a wine map – do you have such a thing? For me who who aspires to be a certified wine nut I mean specialist that would be my 100%

  • 🙂 awesome!

  • love the five minute format gary. And more importantly I am really enjoying the amount of “nerdyness” that you are bringing to the table. The education factor is such a huge thing for me especially when I can’t afford to taste wines nightly. So when I do I love to know a little about what I’m tasting, where it’s coming from and how it might stack up against other things from the same appellation or region. Keep up the good work.

  • VERYYYYYYYYYYYYY valid point on CT and as u saw I glanced over it!

  • Like lots of info quickly! Great idea,
