I like gary because he sounds like me trying to pronounce wine names.

do they make a rosetta stone for oenophiles?

Stinky sock is always nice….. πŸ˜›

Great show, thanks! Thanks for bringing light to this unknown/underrated varietal!

Qotd: Dog named Fie & Susi & Buster! ;:P

QOTD: even though I don’t own one at the moment, I’m more of a dog guy. Though I have a pair of gluttonously fat dumpster cats named Charlie and Sweet D that are basically free entertainment. Watching a nearly 20lb cat chase house flies while towing his giant ass like an out of control 18 wheeler on a mountain switchback is hilarious. They do tend to break a lot of shit though.

  • QOTD: Dog!!! Golden Retriever named Sunny (best dog in the world)

A must watch for all Dog lovers!… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qUNJjIwlHk8

  • Good tight show. Have had a couple and they’re usually pretty nice. Far from my favorite style, but can’t complain about the price.

    QOTD: A smile-y dog.

  • TitanicJack

Not a white wine drinker but I really enjoyed the Verdicchio show. Learned a lot.
QOTD: dogs rescued from a shelter. Shout out to Ben and Jerry.

  • Smiledoc

    Love Verdicchio!
Best value on menus in Italy as they try to push other wines at you, LOL
    Thanks

  • Allan

    Mmmmmmmm… Ben & Jerry……

    Dogs are over-rated!

I haven’t had too many verdicchios, and I can’t remember what they taste like. May have to pick up another one.

QOTD: I have kids. I don’t need a pet. Growing up, our family had a neurotic female beagle named Sam. She was great, but she was unique. I don’t need to try to replace her.

  • Allan

“Never could stand that dog……” πŸ˜›

    cement tanks? huh.

  • nice episode.

QOTD: Dogs though I don’t have any pets currently.

  • Anonymous

I don’t think I have had a Verdicchio. It’s now on my must try list!
QOTD: horses. I know, I know- cat or dog. I’m with Mott on this one, I love ’em both (all). Shout out to Makita the best black lab ever, and to 3 great mouser cats: Dash who also chases dogs (but not ours), Ampersand the sweet nutcase, and Poke the princess of the household. But I still like horses best.

  • Allan

I like Gary because he sounds like me thinking of you trying to pronounce wine names, sorry gmann. πŸ˜›

Oh, thank God I now have something to do on the Jet’s bye weekend πŸ˜‰

QOTD: Dog! When I house and feed an animal I want act like it’s ecstatic to see me when I come home. Cats look at you from their perch on top of the couch as if to say, “Oh, you’re home again?”
It cracks me up when cat owners tell you that their cat is just like a dog. I just look at them and say, “Then why didn’t you justr get a DOG?”

Heidi, a black Royal Standard poodle, was the smartest and most loving dog I’ve ever known.

  • Verdicchio we have tried and now going through some nebiolos and barberas. Tried a Blanc de Noir from Mosel the other day (Pinot made whie) and that one brought some insane pepper endning, very interesting

QOTD: Home pets, No!!! But if I ever would even consider one I might go for a dog (like this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0jNC_w1tSw )

  • Not the ice cream Allan…

  • old traditions in some parts of the world. Been used a lot over the decades and centuries.

Interesting show to say the least. I will have to say I will try the Verdicchio the next time I buy a white. I am not a big Pinot Grigio or Gris fan. Reisling, Chards are whites of choice when I go there. So, Verdicchio will be in the next buy.

QOTD: Dogs and only Dogs. We had to put down our 15 1/2 year old Samoyed this year and she was a fantastic dog and friend. Her and I ran a lot over the years together. It will be a little while yet until we get another dog, but we will and we are look small, West Highland White “Terrior” Terriers. Soon.

QOTD: I had a dog named Heidi once I found in the passaic river and she was the best. She was a mutt. I also had a Chinese Shar-Pei I named Gin-Sing-Li….but I called her Ginnie Mae like the Ginnie Mae securities…lol

  • John__J

qotd: i got to go with Mott on this 1, I like the cat and the dog pretty equally.Always love when you put the spotlight on the under the radar wines. Speaking of which, a Uhudler from Austria would be really cool to see ont he show.

QotD: favorite pet, well, nothing breathing. stuffed animal – panther. (not a pet person)

  • jazzman

Have not tried verdicchio. I have seen it on wine list in Italy but never gave it a second thought. I will try some soon.

Favorite Pet – Rottweiler, name Abigail

Question – when will the wine library finish their permit application to ship to the state of Georgia. Have seen many of your suggested wines on the wine library site, but alas, you cannot ship to my state, even though it is now allowed. Please have someone post an answer to this.
