Worst guest ever.
This guy is an absolute nightmare, even if he does has some interesting things to say. Way too serious, way too obsessed with himself, way too blinkered in his own little world…and he’s wearing a hat! That in itself marks him down as someone to avoid. He gives me the impression of the sort of person who would have some very dodgy stuff in his garage – probably a dress made out of human skin or something similar. I could be wrong but my ‘crazy guy’ radar went haywire when watching this episode.

  • Top 10

  • ALLAN

This guy, to me, came off extremely nervous, shakey, did he just run a marathon and is he going to dehydrate right before our very eyes??? Part 2 will tell…

A bit meh, but loose that hat, and your street cred. will go up. 🙂

Next week on the Thunder Show; Jay-Z and a shitload of busty bitches drinkin’ Cristal by the bucket-full. This is only meant as a humour- slap- in- your- face!. hope ya’ll understand. 😕 Cheers! 😛

This guy is classy and interesting…why don’t I like him? Maybe’s it’s the reincarnation nonsense…

Ha! Onset Guest Anxiety (OGA), is a serious problem for some posters. Long candle lit dinners in a lavishly decorated restaurant with nobody in it besides the afflicted and Gary V Is the only know cure. Watcher beware!

  • ALLAN

LOL my ass off! Great stuff C5

  • ALLAN

    I was being rude…. i liked this. 😛

allan, since you are scrutinizing this guest so much it would be wise to pay attention before adding your brand of humor. Perhaps you may have noticed that this guest has problems with the use of his right arm and hand, The guy is going through some health problems so lighten-up this is not the first eccentric wine guest who has been on the show. More discussions on wine and less humor (and posts) from you would go a long way.

  • i honestly don’t even know what to say.

  • ALLAN

Mr. T. too bad. My opinion. Not yours. Callin’ it like i see it. Just like the Big GV. That is all.

  • Hotspur75

Yeah, probably an accident concerining the frontal lobe. Interesting, psychologically…

  • 25 th?

  • TitanicJack

This guy lost me with his view of french politics and the reincarnation stuff. Really pretentious and uninteresting. Would have been better as a 5 minute show IMO. Sorry there will be a Part 2.

  • ALLAN

    Agreed!

Whoa! Let down the landing gear. I’m going to have to deploy the parachutes cause I’m coming in hot. Wow, Tim is out there and that is what I like about him. The “THUNDER” is rock’n! I’m really love’n the stories. What a great guy, can’t wait for the second issue.

As you know, not a big fan of syrah, but may have to make an exception. Love the “I Love Lucy” reference to the grape stomping. What an intense guy. GV, Unbelievable!!!!!!! I am just blown away dude. Big running and hockey fan also. Doctor prescribed running on the beach with his Siberian Huskey, LOVE IT! I used to run with my Samoyed the same. WHEW!!!!!

-blink blink – different, that’s for certain!

  • L.A Kings… nah.. 🙂 Reincarnation, hmm. this is really a mysterious francophile, which I don’t mind a bit. Hermitage, Syrah, Tain and Tournon, ohlala. Brand new equipment and foot press? This is very confusing but informative. No white rhones, not even Hermitage Blanc??? Well let’s hear more tomorrow.

  • Andre_hm

If it’ s honest (trust GV to filter that) it’s good!
No matter what the man’s been thru in his life, the fact is he loves what he does. Plus, his honest about his beliefs. Now, if we had more people making wine the way they “feel” it, and less how they think would sell, we would have more variety and more enjoyment.
    Waiting for part 2!

  • ALLAN

More comments from you would go a long way as well….. 🙂

Look ma.. i brought out a lurker…. it seems.. ?

  • Mr. Spear seems like a serious guy who has a lot of passion for his process. I also am ecstatic that there was a huge hockey fan on the show. Great to see love for HOCKEY. Look forward to the next installment.

p.s. GO DUCKS! They need to beat the Wild tonight in Minnesota.

  • NY Pete

    hey hey

Really interesting winemaker dude. I’ve never heard of Clos Mimi, but Tim is interesting and clearly passionate about what he does and what he likes. I appreciate that. Looking forward to Part 2.

  • Jeffreysmithpr

I haven’t even watched this yet an I’m already laughing. Yellow shirt, Mangini on the chalkboard? Classic. I’m waiting for tomorrow’s episode when he sports a beard.

  • Anonymous

Pretty cool guest, he has a passion for what he believes in that’s for sure. Great interview Gary, you know I like to hear how they got started.

  • Anonymous

Super weird episode. Indigenous yeast is quite pricey. Woops!

  • PrimoVino

    Don’t be so closed-minded.

  • i sincerely enjoyed this guest. i respect him for being so candid and envy his craft of wine.

i can’t wait to hear his question of the day!

  • SniffySmith

I don’t know if I would want to drink wine foot-crushed by a marathon runner.

Whether you like him or not, you gotta give him props for sitting down with Gary one day after running 26 miles. Let’s see what tomorrow brings.

  • Hmmmm, interesting. I’m glad as was GV that he did not get into politics, esp French vs USA. Off with their heads! OoopsNo whites in his repertoire and doesn’t even try CA whites? That is also interesting but to each his own.Yes, the QOTD should be interesting. Unleash the Fury!!!!GO CAPS!!!

  • Tytiger58

I think I will be checking for aliens in the attic tonight! Actually I think I was a wino in my last life…ooops lucky me I got to do it again. 🙂
