    Vouvray instead of Chinon? C’mon Gary, I’ve been pulling for your FAVORITE wine for a while now.

    In all fairness, I love Vouvray and that one sounds pretty freaking good.

    Two very under the radar wines. We attended a wine dinner of Susan Balbo wines with Mrs. Balbo present. The Torrontes was a pleasant surprise, much better than any Torrontes I had ever had so much so that it is a go to summer wine and inexpensive as are all of the Crios branded wines. Vouvray is under the radar as being one of the best wines with vegetables of any and this one is the best of the best. This wine should be on every vegetarian’s wine list.

    Weird! I actually just bought each of these wines because I had them at a tasting. I did not know about the scores. Oh, well the torrontes was the 2009 Crios and not the 2010.

  • Thank you for teaching me that Vouvray is actually Chenin Blanc. Misspoke the other day and said Sauvignon Blanc. Chenin is a grape that I think has potential on the US market.

    Saints 24 Cowboys 17 This pains me, cause I’m a Cowboys fan and have been since I was a sper… well you know. I know the haters were thinking… However the truth is, I was born a Dallas fan, I will die a Dallas fan. I’m a realistic though. I know Dallas has looked good the last two games, but the Saints are the Saints. 🙁 I hope I’m wrong. I was going to reverse the scores in faith, but thought better of it. LOVE you Gary.   • Someone came into the wine shop where I used to work before and asked the manager to recommend him “a viognier”. Manager picked him out that very Vouvray from this show! I guess the “v” in both of them mixed him up. What he knew about wine you could scrawl on a cork.

    Technical issue with recent WLTV: last two episodes on my system (downloaded via RSS feed) do random jumps back during play. Older episodes (and other similar content) play nice. Played on MythTV 0.22/gmplayer on Ubuntu.
