QOTD: Yes I do drink white wines this time of the year…it’s all dependant on my foods. When I want clam chowder the last thing I want with that is a red…so maybe I go sparkling or to a Chablis…but my wine is almost always dependant on food or the temp (like if it’s too warm I don’t go for big reds…ect).

  • a little LL Cool J?
Don’t call it a come back! Been here for years!

Thanks for the brown bags a couple of Chards to look for.

QOTD: Absolutely…just enjoyed that Black Pig Albarino a couple of evenings ago…

    QOTD2: Hey.

  • hey Gary! nice to see Baja made it to the show… please DO TASTE more of Baja’s and in general Mexico’s wines! We have been producing a lot of good stuff =).

Patriots 100 Jets 0. Just kidding, it will be bit closer than that – say Patriots 94 Jets 3.

    Hey!!!
Nice mix of chardonnays, must not neglect the whites in winter 🙂

Although there is something quite special about a full-bodied spicy red when there are snowmen outside…

  • Anonymous

QOTD: Yes. I usually don’t vary from the rieslings and gewürztraminers though. And of course some bubbles are good this time of year.

    daaaa Bears!

  • Anonymous

QOTD: i use to never drink white wine in the winter. but you got me drinking whites room temp now so i have been drinking a lot more whites. even some roses.

  • Anonymous

QOTD: Yes. Definitely. Lots of great white wine and food combos this time of the year.

Not a huge white drinker in general but do like sauternes in the winter. Just had one Sat in fact. Also drinking some heavier rose wines in the winter from Tavel.

  • Hey Gary!QOTD: Canadian riesling or ice wine, but then I might be biased :)Though I make my own mead, so I drink that too!

  • Anonymous

    QOTD:No

  • Anonymous

Hey man , Jets gotta win somehow.

qotd; yeah but like a 1 to 4 ratio, more sparklers

  • Anonymous

    Oh. Hey.

Definitely drink white wine in the winter. Gewurtz=xmas in a glass. Pats 26-Jets 24. I like how Mexico=misc country. Before I watched the video I thought it was gonna be some kind of benetton/UN project wine…

Hey Gary! loved the show. Don’t worry, the jets have tonights game in the bag! 27 to 24 for the jets. In general I don’t drink too much white wine but in the winter I drink even less. Keep up the good work.
PS. I am super pumped for the blind barollo tasting and I hope k-murf throws you a curve ball!

  • QOTD: Riesling

    Pats:23 Jets:20 in overtime.

Hey. I drink whites all year long. Depends what we’re eating. Good to see Chalone doing well as they dropped a bit in quality after the buyout. Always surprised they can grow anything where the vineyards are above Soledad prison.

  • Hello G V , No on white wine yet. Reds only . May the Jets win and darn my Chargers lost .

  • Anonymous

Good evening Gary, hope all is well.

QOTD: I totally drink white during the winter! Just had an ok chardonnay over the weekend from San Fernando Valley…I think. Looking for good viognier to do a tasting with some friends this coming month.

  • Hey there. Hi there. Ho there.

This was a classic episode. I was chuckling in my cubicle the whole time. ADD/ADHD episode too, really liked it.

QOTD: Yes, riesling and albriño all year.

  • Anonymous

    Hey …

QOTD: Yes, most definitely! I’ve been drinking Mosel Reisling quite a bit the last two weeks!

    Jets 23, Pats 27

  • DaveAll

    good episode. thanks.
qotd: My perfect weekend meal always starts with a white wine. then moves to rose or red or remains white. so yes. a oaky chard on a snowy evening is wonderful.
    hey, peace, hi.

  • Anonymous

It’s so easy to assume that chards from cali will be bold and beaten to death by the oak monster.

QOTD: I’ve always had chard in the winter at room temp(see above). Also mature riesling is a holiday season wine for me.

  • Anonymous

QOTD: Since I’m not a girly girl I don’t drink white wines normally and definately not in the winter. I’m guessing Brady LOVES them though.

    Jets: 27
    Pats: 24

  • GV,
    Luv them brown bags.

    Jets 26
    Pats 27

    QOTD 1:
Yes , Definately drinking SOME whites in December. and Jan Feb, Mar……

    QOTD 2
Hey there, missed your thunder last week!!

    Go J E T S

    First thing first:
    Jets 19 – Pats 14

White Wine: I feel you. It seems like winter is more of a red wine time of year, BUT I still drink around the same amount. The type of white wine does shift for me. This time of year, I’m into sweeter styles. Summer time leads me to drink more crisp whites. You dig?

    Hey Gary,
How ya doin? I am fine.
    Talk to you soon,

    JeffIsRad in The Bay

QOTD: Funny you should ask. I generally do not drink much white this time of year but I never want to ignore white wine. Therefore I purposely opened a Rueda this weekend. It was light and refreshing. Also I’m considering buying one of the PA Chairman’s selections, a brut Loire sparkler. There is a white (chenin blanc, chardonnay, cab franc) and a rose (cab franc), both 12.99. I have some Saint Veran chardonnay that I will probably drink this month.

  • California Love! Well, I am writing from the Golden State and think that you should do a show on donut and wine pairings. I just did a little a.m. sampler yesterday – raised glazed with a sauternes. What do you think?????

  • Anonymous

Hey Good luck to your Jets tonight. I hate the Pats. I am drinking a cheap Red right now at this moment

  • Anonymous

    QOTH: ALWAYS

  • Prediction: Pats 27 Jets 24

QOTD: Definitely. Drank Riesling all weekend.

  • Anonymous

    Hey! Vassup Vine Library TV!!

    Pats 27, Jets 17

QOTD: Yes, Definitely still drinking white in the winter, though a Los Angeles ain’t much. Even if I was in a frigid area I don’t see myself doing the whole hearty stew and big, chewy red wine thing. Still exploring more whites, looking forward to more N. Rhone whites.
