EP 1000 Episode 1,000

Gary Vaynerchuk has finally made it to episode 1,000 of Wine Library TV! It’s been an amazing ride since that day in February 2006, with great guests, amazing (and sometimes awful) wines, as well as a lot of Jets talk. Today, the main focus is a huge thank you to all the Vayniacs who helped make this community…and a huge announcement from Gary.

Wines tasted in this episode:

2008 Jerome Prevost La Closerie Les Beguines BrutFrench Brut Vintage

I know, its cold dark and lonely over in the other chat room, its almost like shouting at yourself in a giant hallway and responding to the echo. When you do try and have a conversation you have to scroll through even more comments than here!

I’ll bring our Tawny Port, it will never evaporate!

I have to admit, you’re sentiments are harsh but undeniably true (as usual). Todays episode was better that the last two, and perhaps the comments section will become more like here, but that being said save me a seat at this sit in; I’m in it for the long haul.

    THANKS GV!!!

  • “Thank You”

  • Thanks Gary. Was the fall of 2006 that I first got in to wine and started watching your show. You helped me learn a lot and my wine knowledge would not be where it is today without you. You were also the first person ever to post on my Facebook wall way back when. You taught me a lot about the new world of Marketing and Social media as well. Good Luck in your new endeavor, we all know that you will Crush It!

  • I miss you WLTV, just liked I missed college……..I look back with fondness, but love the new grown up you…..Daily Grape!!!!

Gary. . . Thank you for all you did (and are doing) to change the wine world!

  • Congrats! Always enjoy your videos and looking forward to see next 1000 episodes.
Just saw your interview on Canadian business TV show, The Lang & O’Leary Exchange.
    Well done.

I’m sorry to see WLTV change and nearly disappear. Granted we will follow, the energy and sincerity of WLTV has made an impression that can’t be replicated. Young wine drinkers and those that haven’t found WLTV, they will be disadvantaged by the absence of new episodes.

Not sure, Randal or just jack would be better people to ask about that. I am definitely going if it is still happening.

  • Can’t wait for the next chapter, Gary.
    Game on!

  • Thanks, Gary.

I’m proof that your marketing style works.. Over 100 bottles in my cellar and most came from your store. Not because you pushed me to buy there, but because you were honest and connected with me… Thanks for the education, the fun, and the wine!!!

  • grave robber. One singel comment and with a spam. Talk about destroying your brand. gettotahere!

  • Mott! Spam monitoring needed for the “Archives”

  • Agreed. GV’s claim is that the Daily Grape is going to be “tighter” but it mostly seems more “rushed and frenetic”. Fewer interesting insights… More run of the mill, quickie reviews. It could just be growing pains, but the shorter format is going to limit it. Daily Grape’s coming across more like a cheap Australian fruit bomb than a balanced, layered, and intriguing, solid $25 wine that brings WLTV QPR thunder.

    Like you post 😉

I predict that after some time and once all the final numbers are crunched (over at daily grape ) Gary will return to WLTV and seek to get his audience back. Not sure what kind of blah blah blah will be used but it will happen. He may even write a book about it 😉 Stay tuned …. I’m sure episode 1001 is around the corner.

On a side note … A very appreciative THANK YOU Gary!!!! for all the hard work you put into episodes 1 -1000 … on 98% of those shows you bought the THUNDER and like a good concert I left happy ;-).
    —————————————————————————–
I for one never really liked the shorter episodes format so it sounds like Daily Grape is not for me So, I will not be following you as you move forward.
    —————————————————————————–
However, I will be waiting for your return here …… 🙂

Sounds good Man. I was always a little bummed when you had an interesting conversation going with a good guest and had to check the time and apologize for running long. Looking forward to pouring a glass, sitting back and listening to them shoot the breeze for an hour.

Thank you Gary (and Mott) for the hundreds of shows that have led to this point. I can’t tell you have many people I’ve referred to the site or the number of times I’ve chosen a wine you’ve discussed when I’ve been out on a business dinner. You’ve contributed more to me than I to you. Nothing but love for you guys as well. See you on the other side.

    CONGRATS on the 1000th show!!!!!

THANK YOU Homey for all the greatness you bring. You are truly a man among men. A Gentleman’s Gentlemen as they say!!! A class act!!!! A Legend in the wine world. A true innovator and pioneer. A risk taker and a self made entrepreneur. You’re all that and so much more. You deserve everything that comes your way in life.

I have signed up at Daily Grape as myself…..”GLEN”. I figured a new show, a new name. And after 500 comments you would think it was taken already but I guess you had it reserved for me because I got it just like that. Glen…..nice name to sign in with from now on huh!!!

OK Homey…. you are the best. You are the man. Thanks again for everything and for helping me understand different wines and for always being real. And for all you do to keep it real.

As I told you on “our show” epsisode 868….you are as real as all hell and I appreciate it and value your friendship. I’m always proud to say my friend Gary.

Your friend till the end….. Glen
    God Bless

    Gary,

I see your comments and I know it takes time to start a new thing. You have your groove on Brother…… don’t keep thinking otherwise. Just do what you do. It’s a different show, and a different way. I’m sure everyone will take to it just as they did to cherry coke or diet coke or sprite with lemon or sprite with lime…..it’s just a new twist to the same guy we all know and love……Gary VAY-NER-CHUK.

So good luck with the Daily Grape and keep rockin it like you do Bro. You’re a Rockstar!!

Fare enough, I think you deserve that much after all 😉

  • Don Simpson

Gary – I recommend a more passionate INTRO for Daily Grape, that was always one of the best parts of WLTV!!! “The Internet’s most PASSIONATE WINE PROGRAM” totally brought the energy, excitement and set the tone for the episode. Just something to consider for Daily Grape.

  • Anonymous

No disrespect, but it is just too short. I never really connected to that shorter format as you can see from some of my past comments. It thought the shorter shows were rushed, “canned”, and just plain lost their thunder.

I always thought the 15 – 20ish time frame brought out the most in you and your show. Special guest, brown bag, two wine throw down, on location at a stadium, 4 bottle taste off, etc. all took us (me) to that place of ” that was sweet”

Don’t worry thou, I’ll be checking here for your return and episode 1001 on WLTV. All the best at daily grape !!!

G, I’m still a thunderholic, and will be back on board as things smooth out.
