Never pass up the opportunity to seem appropriately fashionable. The Emily In Paris Emily Black Coat seemed to be the greatest choice in this regard. With its unmatched warmth, this layer envelops you in comfort. You will also keep up with the newest styles by wearing this item into your ensemble and succeeding in them.

Great to see you back, man…if only for a one-off. Hope to see you on an LA book tour stop. QOTD: Here’s one you have to find (if you haven’t already): Last September, we did a tasting with Realm Cellars in Calistoga. Their 2013 “The Bard” (Cab blend) blew us away, and we picked up a few bottles @ $95. Cut to 2016…RP100.

  • The Thunder Show! Stoked because someone just asked me where I
“learned” about wine….right here on WLTV. Tasting a bunch helped too.
    Cheers to an anniversary celebration.

  • Rani Haykal

Good to have ya back at the head of the table Gary!!!!

QOTD: the Coenobium Lazio and Rusticum…..also the Movia

I feel like I “grew up” ten years ago enjoying wine more deeply with WLTV and it is great to have that piece back! (Does ‘Sir Gary’ still exist also around late October?) QOTD: So many great wines in five years but the last that comes to mind is “Wallace” by Ben Glaetzer – very close to Amon Ra quality for a portion of the price. Great QPR. Cheers!

  • David M Roberts

    Totally unfair!

  • Peter Vergote

Great to see that The Thunder Show is back!!! Learned so much throughout the first 1000 episodes. This news really made my day. Welcome back, Gary!
QOTD: the Franchetti 2012, Petit Verdot & Cessanese from the slopes of Mount Etna, made by Andrea Franchetti from Tenuta di Trinoro/Passopisciaro

  • laurieinvt

Never thought I’d be back in the WLTV comments section- thanks for this episode, Gary! Loved hearing your daughter in the background. QOTD: Local wines, in particular Lincoln Peak Vineyard’s Marquette, but more recently, their as-yet-unnamed 2015 white.

  • QOTD: Corison Kronos 2005

Hmm, hello dude! Well, there are infact not any wine podcast leaders, they all suck beacuse they make to few videos and the charge you 🙂 Welcome back? and thank you for 1001.

Wine #1 84 bucks for any SB is crazy, real crazy

Wine #2 Butter is one thing, oakmonster another , right 😀

Wine #3 Spitting, swallowing, who cares, anymore 😉

Wine #4 Bordeaux throwback huh? Editing? a jump in the video. No editing on the WLTV DRock!!

Why didn’t Mott do the show?

Mischa on the set, nice. let the girl speak 🙂

    Have a nice week Gary.

  • Totally fair!

  • AmyNYC

So glad to have you back again! QOTD: I was at Robert Parker’s Matter of Taste yesterday so I drank better in one day than I have in my entire life: Krug, jacques Selosse, Pol Roger Winston Churchill, 2009 Pontet Canet, Leoville Barton, Pichon Baron and Haut-Bailly, Chapoutier Pavillion and Verite.

  • Hi Anders! 🙂

  • Just hearing the theme song brings back great memories. I met some great people in these comments sections. 🙂 QOTD: Sheldrake Point 2011 Finger lakes Gewürztraminer.

  • castello

Just like the good old days!

  • castello

Did he do and edit/cut jump? Get on his ass! 🙂

Thanks Gary! I am a big believer in the energy you bring. I’ve always been in the wine business, and after watching your shows I try to bring the same honest enthusiasm to my guest. Always provide value!

  • lawrenceleichtman

Missed this. Wines were a bit expensive for my budget though. The Verite is in my wheelhouse for wines but not at the price. Best bottle since we were last posting 1992 Krug.

  • SS_Chris

    what is going on?

  • cellarrat5

Not a bad episode to come back on! Power house wines for a fantastic occasion. You’re looking good GV! An 85 dollar SB???!!!!!! I need to go work for that winery, then I could afford all the other wines on the show! QOTD: No clue, I have been too busy making the stuff. There was a few with the West Coast Vayniacs that were pretty decent though. Then one jackass had to go move away 😉

  • cellarrat5

Its like a high school reunion up in this piece!!

  • cellarrat5

Minus the SB I think he made this episode for you Lisa! Oh, wait. they didn’t have any Pinot, never mind.

  • cellarrat5

The theme song made me wish it was five years ago again! Countless hours of WLTV when I should have been cleaning tanks or washing barrels. Good times!

  • cellarrat5

    You had your chance!

  • cellarrat5

    As it should be.

  • cellarrat5

Gary, I discovered your show about a year ago and have gone through just about every episode. The amount of knowledge and enjoyment gained from the shows is incredible. Not to mention my ability to now taste wine with winemaker, rep or even a somm with confidence.

I really hope to see you do more episodes! I’m tired of tracking down wines you had on the show 5-10 years ago so I can try them along with you 🙂
